Wow

When we’re sick, our body temperature rises in order to kill the organisms making us sick. We’re making the planet sick and now it’s raising its temperature to get rid of us.

Someone ten years ago told me that one day I’d understand why people do things they know aren’t good for them. And I told myself I would never be the girl who gives up a job for a guy or turns down an opportunity she’s been waiting for to make someone else happy or moves away from her family for someone else’s career. And I’m still telling myself that I’m never, ever going to be that girl but I do finally understand why other people do it. And the reason I never will is because I don’t think I could ever let myself love someone that much more than I love myself.

Today, I learnt sometimes you need to fall before you can pick yourself up.
