Three years ago today, on 30 March 2020, I had the honour to hit the Post button on our very first @sevenshadesofdrarryā fic. Wrath | I Am Pain, Hear Me Roar!, written by the collabās initiator Drarrymadhatter, was the perfect opening of our Seven Shades of Sin anthology, and I still get nostalgic goosebumps whenever I hear Believer by Imagine Dragons ā the ficās bombastic (and very fitting) soundtrack.
Three years later, with six anthologies and forty-nine fics on the shelf, the members of this writing group have become some of my closest friends. Merlin, I canāt even begin to imagine what my life would look like without these awesome people in it.
As Iāve told you before, Iāve been stuck in a major writing slump lately ā an experience I, unfortunately, seem to be sharing with several of my fellow Shady Ladies atm ā and while I wait for my Muse to return, Iāve been exploring another art form to express my Drarry love.
No, traditional art isnāt anything Iāll ever be good enough at to even consider. However, as some of you already know, I do have access to an abundance of plastic bricks and pieces in my home, in all the colours of the rainbow, so I figured Iād try to be creative with themā¦
Well, I call it Seven Shapes of Drarry ā a tribute to the Seven Shades of Drarry collab. Seven scenes from seven fics written by seven authors as contributions to the collabās various anthologies through the years.
Each one of these builds is a love letter to the author of the fic that is its inspiration, a dedication to a friend I canāt imagine my life without. Thank you for always being there, through thick and thin, through highs and lows. I love you all so much. š
