You’d be absolute correct. 2014 was a tough year, career wise. After tour, not having a guaranteed pay check is tough. And no, Bieber didn’t fire me, as many would claim. I’m his “touring photographer.” Simple. When he doesn’t tour I don’t work with him. It was a year w maybe 3 or 4 decent jobs. Flying to Toronto to shoot JB and his artist is March, a couple of shoots for Hollywood Records, a big job with R5/Hollywood/Zinepack, and a job with one of Gibson’s software companies. But they were spread out throughout the year and I was paying for an apartment I couldn’t afford for half the year. I’m awful at saving money so yeah I had to sell equipment, but it’s only equipment. I’ve since bought a replacement body. Freelancing is tough, but 2015 is looking up already.
