Here are some photos of my mom as I document her relaxing. I am starting to like shooting in black and white and also not afraid of harsh or dark shadows as long as the form is clear. I really enjoy the shapes and tones I get from t-max

I recently took these photos of my cousin and I have no idea what heās going to do with them but I enjoyed our time together doing these. I set up a small backdrop and posted it by my huge window in my apartment.
I shot this with my fujifilm xt3 only using my custom black and white preset. I didn't worry about color I just worried about light and shadows. To be honest, I haven't been taking a lot of photos lately because I don't want to. I've been mainly focusing or looking at cartoons and movies. Thinking about it now some of the shapes and shadows remind me of Batman Beyond.
The black and white photos are the photos I saw in camera and I let the color do the rest in post. So the colors are the RAW Fujifilm files while the black and white photos are the natural JPEGs out of camera.Ā
I took these photos for a good friend of mine. His name is Vic and he has a beautiful family. I haven't been taking as many photos recently because the passion just isn't there but here I really enjoyed it. These photos weren't for me they were for someone else and that made me happy.
I just haven't been passionate about taking photos and thatās because so much stuff is going on andĀ I'm just not inspired to do/take any photos. This day was a fun day for me.
Tmax is way different than Ā ilford or maybe thatās how I rendered it. it is almost a grey scaled film stock rather than a black and white film stock. I like how it rendered my moms old neighborhood. I gotta get out more and take pictures of places outside of Atlanta. I think that is better for me.

Some of my favorite shots I did of Leano a local artist here in Atlanta. I used my fujifilm xt3 to take these shots some of them are the jpegs that came out looking better than the RAW files. Let me know if you can tell which one are the JPEG files.Ā
My Motherās land, this isnāt her land but this is where she was born. I went to help her and my aunts clean out my grandmotherās old home and brought my camera. This is one of my favorite shots from that day as I am still developing and scanning the rest of the photos. Itās always fun and interesting to see where your parents grew up because most of our parents come from the country and the country really doesnāt change. Hearing the stories, her and my aunts told, are always fun to hear because we forget they were young once too. This was also my first time trying out Kodak TMAX 400 and at first, I did not like it but it grew on me as I started to edit it. I might get this framed.
Atlanta has a big homeless problem. I took these photos because who knows what stories have been told here. It is interesting because it is set up in a way where it looks like it could be someoneās living room. People sitting around telling each other stories but the sad part is, it probably is.
Hereās more from my Atlanta Summer project. This van was parked outside a really old house and it reminded me of the Scooby-Doo van. I loved how it looked as if it were trying to hide itself within the greenery.Ā I'm finally getting the look I want for my digital photos and the look that reflects how I think Atlanta in the summer looks like.
During this time working on my personal work I wanted to test out and create a preset for me so I can use these presets to make some black and white photos. Like I said before I love ILFORD HP5 but itās not contrasty enough for me so I tried to make a preset for myself that would give me the monochrome values of Ilford but the added contrast that I like with other black and white photography.

I have to start by saying Iām not a Tyler the Creator fan. Back in 2011 or 2012 when Odd Future first dropped, I did not care much for them...
I have to start by saying Iām not a Tyler the Creator fan. Back in 2011 or 2012 when Odd Future first dropped, I did not care much for them as a group. I think it had to do with their antics and lack of quality music. At the time I felt they were just edgy kids trying to make a name for themselves and they just so happen to make music. Thinking back on it now we were all the same age. I didnāt think their sideshow measured up to their music. Plus, I always felt like Odd Future was...
Im learning that I love hard light and these photos really tell why. Hard light is so directional and you can shape it however you like. In this case the window snapped it and it looks beautiful.Ā
ILFORD HP5 was one of my favorite black and why film stocks butĀ I've been experimenting with other film stocks. I feel like with HP5 itās great if you are looking for a grey scaled look to your photos with no contrast in them unless you push it a couple of stops.
Lately I've been doing a small passion project studying light and shadow. Ever sinceĀ I've noticed that my colors are better andĀ I'm more focused on what the scene. The project is called Summer Time in Atlanta. I might make a book and give it to my family and friends. I haven't posted any of this on Instagram becauseĀ I'm starting not to like that platform anymore. So far I am loving the photos that are coming from it.Ā
Itās been 4 years sinceĀ I've logged onto here so I might as well post my trip to Vegas. It was amazing up until my camera died on me. R.I.P. Nikon AF but I got some shot in before it passed away lol
