It can be so hard to look at your past and remember things that you did that were cringe or things that went badly. It's easy to beat yourself up or regret certain things a lot and torture yourself over it or be wrecked with guilt. There are always things you wish you could take back or do differently now that you've matured, but try to see the past as a step in your path to maturity and ethics that you have today, it was part of your progress. You have grown a lot and that's a good thing.

I literally cannot overstate how important creative hobbies are when dealing with mental illness. If you can’t draw, there are coloring books. If you can’t write a novel, you can write in short journaling bursts. If you can’t sing in the shower, you can listen to music. Sometimes with mental illness it feels like we have this dark presence inside of us that is bumping around in our brain and organs, causing problems. It helps immensely to let it out.
