on days where he does not have a single class

he would willingly wake up at 8 am to pick you up from your place and take you to class

sometimes, he’d show up with a coffee

other times, he’d plan it so that you two could get coffee together

eventually, he makes it a little too obvious because he starts taking you on dates

but he doesn’t call them dates

one night, as you’re both studying for exams together until 4 am

the lack of sleep gets to him

and you’re so sleepy and tired

you can’t help but giggle and suddenly mark’s awake enough to process what was happening

he’s panicking now but you close your textbook and grab his face

you look him straight in the eyes and say it back

“i love you”

mark cannot help but blush as he stares at your lips

you notice and tell him, “you can kiss me y’know”

and he does.

your lips collide and suddenly all the frustration from when you were in high school disappears because you and mark are finally (officially) together

huang renjun: the enemies to lovers crush

renjun with this trope is so canon to me i cannot fathom another way this could happen

anyways you and renjun have been rivals since you were children

like battling it out on the playground to arguing over who’s “smarter”

and as toxic as it is, you both are extremely academically competitive

literally always been neck and neck in terms of grades

y’all are always taking the hardest ap classes

and you both subtly flex your grades to each other often to see who scored better

the catch though

no matter what, you can never agree on anything

debates in class?

you’re on one side trying to justify that parallel universes exist

and he’s over here trying to prove that those universes are just aliens trying to mess with us

like even with the stupidest little things

you two can never agree on anything

so obviously, it’s a little hard for you to get along

you think the only time you’ve ever civilly agreed with something he says

is when you both argue with teachers over incorrect marks on your tests/grades

like it is literally a battlefield when the two of you go against your teachers

for example, one time in stats

renjun got so angry at the teacher for being stubborn about changing his grade

that he filmed a 10-minute long “renjun rambles” video after school

and posted it on one of his private stories

that donghyuck reposted

and it went viral amongst the school

because he made some good points

you watched all 10 minutes of that video

and literally was so invested in how he was talking

but that’s besides the point

anyways

along the way you do eventually succumb to his charms

obviously, with your similarly big ego

you never ever ever ask for help

even when you’re struggling on certain topics/subjects

renjun notices this, though

because he likes to observe his competition a lot

and at first he just thinks of it as an off day for you

you weren’t really as chatty in class

but then every day was an off day for an entire week

and he hates to admit it

but he becomes worried

like how can he ignore the wrinkles on your forehead

and the bags under your eyes getting darker day by day????

so, he throws his front aside and approaches you

and at first, you’re thinking that he’s coming over to compare more test scores

and you were not gonna have any of that

but when he plops next to you with a stack of notes

you’re caught off guard

and begin to ask you questions on what you need help with

and he tries to comfort you by saying that he struggles too

and you both make peace for the time being

he agrees to help you out with any of the material that you’re struggling with outside of class

and through this you fall for him

when he genuinely smiles at you if you get an answer right

or his reactions when you one-up him ever so often

he’d check up on you and make sure you weren’t pushing yourself too hard

gestures like that really got you wrapped around his finger and you weren’t even mad about it

and little do you know, he’s falling for you too

he likes seeing you smile

so he always tries to do something that would cause it

he never knew how pretty your smile was or how much he liked seeing your eyes crinkle

he was too focused on beating you as a competition that he never got to know you as a classmate

so you slowly become friends through these little “study sessions”

and as much as you hate losing

you lose your mind over him and his charms

you’ve both been around each other so much even the teachers are shocked

anyways, with his help, you’re back in the game

your last test score is above average again

and you’re so happy you jump into renjun’s arms after class

and he almost falls over

you both collect yourself and you sincerely thank him for the help

okay not that type of jock…the nice kind

he has practically every single person on campus wrapped around his pretty fingers

and you find it obnoxious

he’s a great goalkeeper and is extremely skillful on the field

and he’s smart

and he’s got this kind of humor that’s so deadpan it’s adorable

and his voice is-

anyways, whatever

he’s not that attractive

okay, continue to kid yourself man

anyways

you’ve always been friendly with each other

like greetings when running into each other in the halls

or casual conversations about your upcoming games when you see each other at practice

but it was never really that deep

yet you’ve always been fascinated by him

like you wanna know more about him

what you do know is that he’s the captain of his respective soccer team

and you’re also the captain of your respective soccer team

fun!

so on more than one occasion

you both have to decide how to share/when to use the field

he’s a nice guy so sometimes he’d let you pick first

but there are times when you both argue over which team gets which time slot

and that’s what kind of turns you on when it comes to jeno

you like competition and hate it when people back down because you’re supposedly “weaker”

so it’s extremely attractive when he starts to tease and pick a fight with you over the slots and who gets to use the field first

you often just end up deciding to split the field in half

because the coaches get tired of your bickering and banter

and then there are times when you both manage to hold a practice with both teams

but it’s more like a field day

because when your two teams are joined together

you either hear laughing or screaming

as chaotic as your teams are, at least y’all are responsible enough to actually put in work

the day you confirm that you’ve fallen for jeno is on one of these field days

you’re scrimmaging each other

he decided it was the day he wanted to play forward

as you’re laying on the floor holding onto your shoulder

jaemin would stand there kinda bewildered too and be like

“damn jeno, why don’t you swing like that during games”

and he saw how you were kinda smiling through the pain at the remark

and so he calmed down

before you could answer his question though, your coaches intervened and checked on your poor shoulder

it wasn’t broken or dislocated

and you seemed fine

so they just made you sit out for the time being and have you watch the rest of the game

jeno decided to sit out too

and his excuse was that he’d be given a yellow card in that situation

so he plopped down next to you on the bench

and he kept apologizing until you tell him it’s annoying and that if he tries to apologize one more time, you’re gonna kick him in the shoulder

to your surprise

he agreed

but you tried and change the subject so that he’d stop apologizing

and so you began to talk about everything and nothing all at once

80 minutes seemed like 8 when you were talking to him

you weren’t sure if it was the fact that you’re both carrying the weight of being leaders and captains on your shoulders

but you connected with him on a spiritual level

like y’all are literally the same person in different fonts

and through this you realized that you really like talking to jeno

and jeno

his jokes are endearing too

“this was actually really great”

you’d say this after coach announces the end of practice

“yeah, it was,” and then

“we should hang out sometime”

that one sentence literally knocked the wind out of you

and you kinda blushed

and he’d facepalm himself and you both giggle all the way to the parking lot

lee donghyuck: the platonic soulmate crush

i feel like he’d be someone you were forced to befriend as a child

like y’all were neighbors or something

so your moms would probably converse with each other every once in a while

and they’d make you two play with each other as they gossiped

so it was like

once you got into school

you were a package deal

anywhere you went, he followed

and vice versa

at first it was kinda cool having a built in buddy

ice cream stops after school

staying after school to mess around on the stage in the cafeteria

signing up for student council together

going to each other's' houses at weird hours

watching tv or playing video games

it was great

but then

people started to assume the two of you were either dating or siblings

and it got kinda weird

because a) being close to someone does not mean you are dating

and b) you do NOT wanna be considered related to him

(tbh you didn’t mind the whole sibling thing

but it seemed like he hated it so you just went along with it for the sake of his sanity)

like, no one wanted to befriend you two because you were always around each other

so you decided and agreed to hang around each other less

starting in the first year of high school, of course

because apparently, that was the year of change

you were both engulfed into different larger groups of friends

and since you were both social butterflies

it was pretty easy

at first it was weird

because it was always just the two of you

but then it became a little easier to kind of ignore each others’ existence every so often

obviously you missed being around each other

so in your second year of high school

and always pulled him away from his group of friends to do things with you

he’d always would go with you

anyways after you got home and cooled off a little

i feel like jaemin fits into the idea of a college crush better than a grade school one

and i think he’d probably work at the local coffee shop near campus

he’d work in the mornings before his afternoon classes

because he thinks it’s a lot better to surround yourself with coffee in the morning

rather than textbooks

you were a regular at his coffee shop

every morning you’d come in with the same order

and ever since he started working there

you’d be one of the first customers he’d see at 6 in the morning

everyday

you’d order some super strong drink and sit in the corner of the shop with your laptop and a textbook

maybe an ipad

and just grind until 11

which is when he’s off

and then he’d run into you at your first class at 11:30

and even considered leaving his shift to go check on you

and brought him some homemade soup or some warm dish

*i am breaking the 4th wall to say this rn, but ever since i started stanning nct, chenle always reminded me of one of my friends from middle school, hence where this idea sparked*

i think he’d be that kid everyone liked in middle school

because he was funny

and really blunt

like no one could control that boy

which is what everyone liked about him

like he was always really fun to talk to

on the off side

nobody would find him attractive because of that

like he was too blunt

and denied anyone who ever piqued interest in him

like he had a lot of friends but they were all upperclassmen

and they all graduated the year before

so he was only left with his one best buddy

who was not in this ONE TREACHEROUS CLASS with him

so he decided to sit with you because y’all had math together last year

and have talked a couple times

you didn’t mind either

because you thought he was cute anyways

he rarely spoke up in class though

but when there was free time

or like a break between lessons

you’d start conversations with with him

at first it was a little awkward because he was shy

but he’d give such adorable reactions that would make you chuckle

and over time he got more comfortable talking to you

the conversations would transition over to like

the randomest things

and you would be so invested in them

you found it kinda intriguing how he found certain aspects of technology interesting

so sometimes you’d follow him to lunch or something

and just talk with him on the way to his table or the lunch line

you decided he was gonna come by and pick you up and you’d drive to the theater together

he was focused on the road

but also focused on your conversation

and it was so cute

but knew that you were probably too

so he tried being really chill and calm about the whole situation

you ended up hating the movie

and left a bad review under the rotten tomatoes website together

after the movie

and discussing the movie

you two would get in the car but start talking

so jisung wouldn’t start driving home yet

instead y’all started talking some more

and for some odd reason

you felt like it was a good time to confess

maybe it was because you landed back on the topic of romance in movies and shows and stuff

but he beat you to it

“i’m really bad with words”

and you would gape at him

because that was how he won you over in the first place

and there was a pause where you realized that he was waiting for your response

and he’d chuckle

and he would smile so wide it brought you to smileys too
