Chad is pushing the stroller its a nice peaceful day, and they're just restocking for a few things for home. A large Alpha comes in, face covered and gun pointed and swinging at the crowd. Chad is quick to step between this Alpha and his pups, his Omega. A couple of other Alphas get ready to join him.
A blur darts past his side. It was Robert, he darted past all of th before Chad and the other Alphas could even take a stance!
Robert tackles the rogue, climbs up the gunman's back, and begins beating on his head. The gunman makes the mistake of getting his hand over Robert's mouth. Robert latches onto the hand with his teeth and BITES.
Chad watches stunned, the other alphas are both impressed and horrified. The gunman is screaming, all while Robert keeps his assuakt on him. Looking absolutely possessed, blood running down his mouth, the finger had been spit out somewhere on the floor.
Chad has never been more terrfied or turned on in his life.
A few minutes later, the police came. It took three of them to pry Robert, still flailing and kicking in the air, off the pleading gunman, who had been begging Robert to stop, screaming for somebody to get him off.
Robert was sat away from the gunman, the gunman was cuffed and sat at the edge of the ambulance.
The other two alpha stared at Chad and asked. "That's... your Omega??"
He turns with a stupid, lovesick grin. "Yeaaaaa~.... ain't he great?"

posting this mostly to ramble about the amalgamation of thoughts that make up this eldritch AU:
the idea is that the eldritch thing here isn't the iron lung god, or the eel, it is literally the tree that exploded out at the end of the movie
it gained consciousness/became an interdimensional eldritch being (through handwavey fuckery, idk) the moment it exploded out and it killed the eel
also healed simon,, lizard style, he obv aint human anymoe
the reason it is so fond of simon is because they fused and it gained simons memories (and most prominently of his fond and reverent memories of the tree on eden that the tree came out of)
(also of him taking care of the tree in some way, whether its tending to the soil or spilling blood to it)
somewhere in that logic this giant interdimensional plant thought "ah yes this lump of flesh gave me life and my freedom and it yearns for freedom therefore i shall search for a suitable habitat"
then it spent a few moments and an eternity scrolling through universes where it believed its charge would be happiest, found poor grace, saw the same cinematic parallels tumblr saw and said "aight thats the one"
it connected them like,,, cosmically
(not really relevant to the plot but it infected and changed grace the moment he reached back to it in his dreams to become like simon bc the lifespan difference between ryland and rocky devastates me on a daily basis)
(i don't think anyone mentioned it in the comments of part 3 (or at least i didnt see anyone mentioning it) but one of my favorite little details i added is that the tree roots gradually wrap around graces arm and around his ring finger) (hell yea, symbolism) (so i gave the other end of the tether to simon now :) )
another reason for the interlude is i realized that everything i wrote down was in graces pov so i figured id add a bit of simon before i wrap things up (even if hes unconcious)

bloodymary au where Simon has a flower shop and Grace goes in to get roses to dissect in his class and instantly is like. Oh my god.
But of course he only needs to buy the flowers once, right? Grace needs a reason to go visit the shop again to talk to Simon more. So suddenly the lesson plan for the plant biology has a lot more experiments than before.
Talking about plant anatomy? Oh, he'll need white roses to show how water quality can change the plants development. Talking about light rays? Oh, he'll need some flowers to grow and show how different wave lengths affect it. Oh, surely he'll need plants for the carbon cycle.
Does he really need to buy more plants to talk about kinetic energy? No, but with the way Simon smiles when he listens to Grace awkwardly ramble about how his class reacted to the latest science experiment, he's sure he can find a way to fit them in.
