There are so many negative comparisons being made between sapphic DW characters at the moment and it is so saddening to see. Yasmin Khan is important for those people who are still processing who they are. Bill Potts shows us we can be bold and loud and proud while Jenny Flint shows us we can still find love and acceptance even if our families turn our backs on us. Madame Vastra teaches us that it is not the time period that matters, but the people we surround ourselves with. Clara Oswald is perfect for those who are open about their sexuality but keep it a little quieter around peers and then River Song is our very own boss bitch who literally doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks.
