Autunno

Troppo facile amare i fiori della primavera o il sole d’estate. Più difficile è amare l’autunno, imprevedibile, inesorabile, implacabile.

Sapresti sopportare le tempeste improvvise, gli sbalzi d’umore, il buio che avanza, la malinconia costante?

Come in quelle giornate magiche in cui passeggi in un parco al tramonto, e vedi il calore delle foglie cadute, del sole che tramonta tra gli alberi, e per un attimo pensi che potresti vivere così per sempre, ma quello che vedi non è la realtà perché il vento gelido che soffia è la realtà, l’inverno alle porte.

Potresti amare tutto questo, chi ha l’autunno nel cuore?

Facile amare la bellezza, ma potresti amare la tristezza che c’è dietro? Quei sorrisi incrinati, le urla mancate, le ferite mai curate?

Raccoglieresti ogni foglia caduta e ti prenderesti cura di ogni ramo spezzato durante l’inverno? Solo se tu potessi farlo capiresti la primavera.

Solo chi ha vissuto l’autunno ed è sopravvissuto all’inverno può capire la primavera fino in fondo.

Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights, we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end, because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding on to something.
