SkyRanch.Life version 0.2.1 brings numerous fixes and quality of life improvements over v. 0.2.0 thanks to the extensive feedback received fromĀ xĀ andĀ KarpmagiĀ in our Discord server š.
This version skips the Early Access perk for Patrons since it's not a content-heavy release, even though it does have a nice smol addition: Easter Eggs š„ !

How to Report Bugs like a Pro, and Bonus: photos of our praying mantis pet
You found a bug and you want to help us? You're fuckingĀ awesome!
This is a short guide on how bug reports can reach their maximum potential, which also means the highest chance that we can reproduce the bug and fix it!
Why?
It's extremely hard to fix a bug we cannot find / reproduce. We're left thinking about the creation of the universe and we can only guess what the problem could have been.
Also, more often than not, we're very tired since our computers run on alternative energy - our brainz. Please be kind and explain in detail so our potato can understand.
Ok, what do you need?
1. Steps to reach the bug
It would be great if you could tell us what steps you took to reach that bug.
2. Console log
The console log can tell us a lot at times about what happened.
You can open the console log by pressing some of shortcuts below (we can't change these)
Console log shortcuts

ā CTRL + Shift + J (Windows, Linux)
ā Option + ā + J (Mac)
ā Option + ā + C (Mac)
Once the DevTools frame appears, navigate to the Console tab, usually top leftish.
It would be great to share some of it's content, especially if there are errorsĀ (red text)Ā or warningsĀ (yellow text).
Examples of details we'd like to know about
"The game couldn't be interacted with. It didn't freeze but I was clicking and nothing was happening. I saved the game before using Intimidate on the corn gobbler in the first scene, then I used Intimidate and then loaded the game, and the bug appeared."
"IĀ finished the game and decided to try another playthrough to try out other things. I didn't save / load the game. When I got to the scene with Vleed being put in the coffin, the game stopped advancing. It didn't freeze, but nothing happened. The console log was showing this error [ ...... ]"

Characters
The first playable character isĀ Vleed SĆ¢ngerel, a vampire socially unadjusted for spatial travel. He has been yeeted off his homeland for biting the wrong butt at the wrong time and now he has to pretend to be normal becauseĀ It's just easier for the common folk to understand.
The Ranch Plot
In SkyRanch you will be able to acquire various Ranch Plots where you can hoard your loot and other possessions, grow stuff, and keep some friendly farm "animals."
Even if you personally might not enjoy digging in the dirt and planting seeds, the produce you grow can be used for crafting/ cooking / bribing and to keep your cowgirls and bullboys fed and happy. And you can never be too sure when you'll need a handy potion toĀ largelyĀ enhance your adventuring experience. š
If you're feeling fancy and do not wish to sleep with the open universe above your head, build a house that can be used and abused at your leisure.Ā

The Technical Part
The game is developed in HTML5 and will be free and playable on Windows, Mac, and Linux, with possible browser and mobile supportĀ (if our bandwidth Lords do not place Curses upon this land).
What does a pledge do?
Every pledge lets us dedicate more time to develop the gameĀ insteadĀ of looking forĀ freelancing workĀ / other projects. We areĀ very gratefulĀ š„° for any support.

Was going through my SSDs and a lot of them have videos that are using H.264 codecs.Ā
This is old, and still used for uploading on YouTube and stuff, but simple for having it for yourself, completely useless unless your computer is too old for H.265.
I managed to save up 50% space by shoving them in davinci resolve (free program) and exporting them as H.265. It had no visible quality loss but obviously when you do this there will be some quality loss cause it's exporting the video again in a lossy format.
Now you need to wonder if it's worth the effort & electricity. For me it was, because I get to not buy any more gear anytime soon. Damn expensive stuff...
