I'm very fond of how desperately they want to participate in the wing making ceremony. Not their culture. Not their wedding. But if there's things to be built then Binny wants a turn! And I knew the second Eggs mentioned hot glue that Bin was gonna be insulted! They're so sweet about it, and fixing the wings was genuinely a really nice gesture, but there's also that lovely rare Grinderbin stubbornness peeking through!

Speaking of beautiful women, I'm obsessed with Epi Iceblood! I knew Sigmar's mom would look refined and gorgeous but I was not expecting her character design to be this good. Thank you Omar for once again making me attracted to a bunch of circles!
And we finally got the wedding!!! The yuri moment is real just in time for pride month!
I think this has been my favorite episode of S5 so far! I gotta give big props to KC's acting. Sigmar's anxiety around his parents is palpable, and you can tell he's putting his usual impulsive personality to the side. Honestly, I was not expecting him to have such conflicted feelings and it's so fascinating to see unfold! From how his family situation was explained in S1, I was under the impression that Sigmar was fully disowned/banished for breaking his engagement, and he completely resented his family aside from Rho. But after seeing how differently he acts around his parents, it looks so wonderfully more complicated now! There's still a loving bond between Sigmar and his mother, but he stays distant because he knows he cant fulfill her expectations. And even though his dad seems to want nothing to do with him, Sigmar's still desperate enough for his father's approval that he's swallowing his pride and acting as respectfully as he can. I'm so glad Sigmar gets a proper season to himself now because this is way more interesting than the brief exposition we got in S1!
Looks like we also have the long term goal now: get the gods' macguffins to open the four doors. I'm guessing we're eventually gonna need an artifact from the humans, dwarves, and maybe the fauna or flora folk to open the next three. It would certainly give Jack a chance to tie up any loose ends with Beyonce and Queen Oh. Alternatively, maybe the party will discover they had an artifact the entire time. Like, say, the tear of Maury Maury? Seems narratively appropriate for Vorothax to me! And now that its the final season, I would love to see Mortimer be forced to give up the stone of truth for the greater good. Make that man suffer a little! As a treat! :3
Either way, it looks like the rest of the season will be a constant race against Piss. Even if the party "wins" next episode's fight, I doubt Jack will let him die this early. He's too vital to the conflict at this point. My guess is if the party gets the sword and shield first, Piss will just sit back and wait for them to gather the other things, only to ambush them after the doors are opened? Or would it spread more chaos to fight them every time? Hard to say what Jack has in mind. I'm just hopping that If Piss does become a reoccurring fight, he comes back with more tattoo monstrosities. The demon wing asimar are cool and all, but I have very high expectations after S4's "hell kirby!"
Four eps in and we're already very close to a bingo! Just need Beyonce to make a quick comeback and we'll have our first row done! Can't wait! :D
