her smile mimicked his as he complimented her, she did a quick three-sixty as she met him half way. ‘ thank you. you look good too. i almost wanna skip the club all together. ’ capturing her bottom lip within the confines of her teeth, she raised her eyebrow so that her sentiment would be understood without explicit detail. ‘ the club don’t really even go up until i walk in, papa. ’ taking the chain from his hands, she leaned up to wrap it around his neck, she fiddled with the fastener and the clasp until she heard a distinct click, which confirmed the chains security. ‘ chain bigger than my whole head. ’ she teased as she let the heavy metal fall against his chest, diverting her attention back to his face, she placed a few, soft kisses against his lips, pulling out of his hold so that they could leave. ‘ i promise i’m ready, i just need to get my phone. ’

spraying a perfume with soft caramel notes on her skin, the woman peered at herself in the mirror as she heard the male’s raspy timbre ‘ you rushing me like i’m not always late. ’ the sound of 𝐉𝐀𝐘𝐃𝐀’s heels against the the bathroom’s marble floors would alert the male of her entrance into the bedroom, her long back hair swayed from side to side matching the strides of her signature walk. at first, her head was down as she attempted to snap the cuban link bracelet on her wrist, once she secured the latch, she peered up at the male, a smile on her lips, he looked good but she wouldn’t outright tell him so unless he asked. ‘ hm? ’

𝐉𝐀𝐘𝐃𝐀 didn’t know shit about guns, but she was interested in learning, plus, she had pent up frustration that may have been the driving force behind the entire date idea but she was glad it sparked his interest. she nodded when he directed her on which gun she could get, her eyes scanned the wall until they landed on the 9mm glock. ‘ mm, okay. she’s cute, i might have to walk outta here with one. ’ she spoke as the employee placed the gun, the clip and the ammo on the counter before placing it in a case for her to handle. ‘ i don’t know what the fuck i’m doing. not gonna hold you. ’ she whispered to the male, wrapping her arms around his, she watched intently as he chose his own firearm, quickly realizing that he knew exactly what he was doing. ‘ now why you know so much about guns? you gonna teach me right? ‘ she asked as they were equipped with safety equipment and targets. ‘ i promise i’m not hot-headed enough to actually shoot somebody. ’ exaggerating her words, she purposely made them sound suspicious as they followed the range staff to the firing station. ‘ you go first, and i’ma watch! ’

she mimicked his laughter as he got into the car, accepting his kiss before stealing another one and leaning back, 𝐉𝐀𝐘𝐃𝐀 peered over at him when he questioned where they were going. ‘ ain’t nobody ever told you to just ride and don’t ask no questions? it’s only a few minutes away. ’ she verbalized as she pulled off. ‘ and don’t complain about my drivin’, cause i bet you’ll get there in one piece. ’ the small, yet temperamental female had a ‘bout of road rage, so she knew that he would probably be amused by her driving etiquette, or lack thereof. ‘ i went and got a massage earlier with kay, so you ain’t gotta do that for me anymore. unless you just really wanna touch on me. ’ glaring over at him for a second before focusing on the road again, she bit down on her lip to bite back a smile. as promised, only a few minutes passed before she was pulling into a parking lot - the sign on the building reading ‘LAX Firing Range’, which immediately revealed that they were at a gun range. ‘ surprise! ’ she exclaimed as she killed the engine and out out of her truck, waiting on him to follow before grabbing his hand and leading him inside the range; which had been rented out for them. ‘ this ain’t what you was expecting, huh? ’ she snickered as she pulled him over to the counter. ‘ i don’t even know which one to get forreal, definitely too little for any of those. ’ 

‘ i didddd. i been tense since coming back from bali. ain’t that ‘bouta bitch? ’ she mumbled as she placed her head in the designated area, closing her eyes naturally. her zen was quickly dissolved by the query posed.  ‘ bitch not you asking about stress during my relax time. ’ she remarked. ‘ truth be told, i kinda wanna fight, but i can’t because it ain’t like he had a baby on me. but got damn, it feel like it. it’s giving melanie and derwin.  like, i’m cool, but i’m hesitant if that makes sense. i’m just feeling out the situation as a whole. ’ truthfully, this was her first time talking about the situation aloud. ‘ he understands why i’m upset, so i guess that’s all that matters. leave it to you to try and play iyanla on ya’ birthday. ’
