What up?  The best site for board gamers, that’s what’s up.  Mad props and much praise for www.boardgamegeek.com.  This amazing community of people come together to create the best resource for gamers.  Do not pass go, do not collect $200, go directly to BoardGameGeek.  Thousands of games rated, praised and heckled.  A consistent template for each including videos, images, forums and files.  Files?  oh yes, FILES!

I’m particularly thankful for those that lend a hand in creating and sharing files to make the gaming experience better.  For example I’ve read comics since I was a kid and love Marvel Legendary.  If you dig into the ‘files’ section of the geek for any game you may find treasures untold.  To me, Sean Finn (finnsee15) takes the time to make amazing custom dividers like these for Secret Wars Vol 1 - Marvel Legendary expansion and it makes the whole game pop and easy to choose/store characters.

Another great game is Perudo (Liar’s Dice).  Josh Pickering (JP NZ) made a simple track to help simplify bidding.  In this image, the bid was “five 4′s” - I made it!  ...and it fits perfectly into the Perudo tin - love it!  

I admit it.  I started a tumblr blog years ago with no real focus.  Loved the flexibility and convenience  ... and just fell away from it.  Tonight, I’ve decided to get back to it.  This time around I’m just looking to journal, share and compare thoughts about modern board games.

I'm stoked about the book!  No surprise to friends and family - I'm an Apple fanboy, especially the connected lifestyle of the iPad.  Not everybody knows that my wife and I started a small business making gifts and accessories for girls called AvaBava Designs [http://www.AvaBavaDesigns.com].  Turns out after exchanging a few pleasantries and thank yous -- Steve took the time to look up a little more info about me and our efforts and shared it on the Minnov8 blog!  Pretty cool that our little maker mom & pop shop is on the best Twin Cities Tech site.
