These are the raised beds that I transformed with hugelkultur a couple of years ago.  I also give a few tips and tricks which makes my gardening efforts easier, more effective AND uses less water!

I’ve rented two community garden plots in the past couple of months.  I urge everyone to search out your local ones.  My plots were abandoned, but had good soil.  One was 65$ a year and one was $31 a year.  You can be isolated on them and are on the essential list.  Look up no-dig and go for it.

The key is to start with at least four inches (10 cm) of good compost. Feed the soil from above instead of disturbing the balance of life with digging.

JBro Gardening: Don't be afraid to densely pack your seeds together. They do fine and you get more veggies! Just be sure you don't have high plants blocking the sun to the low plants (unless the low plants are low sun).

A great pro and con video about using cardboard for organic. no till farming.  I think I might find another community garden plot and try it out!
