hmmm depends! i have many projects i will be working on the future(specifically 6 shows, 2 movies, 2 shorts, and 2 games. for a lot of them, the focus is on brazilian culture, so if i got concept artists i'd get artists from the respective region the story takes place in) but one of my shows, entre quadros, absolutely does work and will demand more concept artists than just me! for entre quadros i'd need character designers, scenery concept artists, and possibly object concept artists.

but with that one, how many scenery concept artists and character designers i'll have will depend on the amount of funding i'll get, which will depend if i decide to do it myself or sell the pitch to a producer. which will all depend upon how well i perform when directing apresente-se krow, my newest short film(angel is 97% done so i started a new one that's a project i'll use for my dissertation when i graduate, as well as other things. its a very useful project but a very small crew one) that i'll finish within the next 3 years.

i'm trying to do less projects under volunteer and go after funding because i really want to create job opportunities and pay my animators...but that will change a lot of my production style and my focus(hiring non-brazilians would be a very big trouble because of the dollar convertion, i can't make a single artist's pay higher so the convertion makes it equal because that would damage the budget, and i'd like to avoid paying them less even if im technically paying them the same amount as everyone else but the dollar convertion steals a Lot of their money. plus we'd run into some contract issues. i absolutely understand animation jobs that require a visa and travel).

if i were to host another volunteer-ran international project i'd make it be educational and a formation project to feel less dirty about not being able to pay my artists and to at least give something in return. i'd probably make that with luck cats, luck cats i can absolutely see being this sort of international educational project, which is also fitting with the show's actual plot! but since luck cats is a show instead of a short, i'd need at least half a year of planning and study to make that happen smoothly, so i'd probably only execute that after apresente-se krow and theres the big If because then i'd be out of college and in need of a job, so doing such a big unpaid project would be complicated. and even then, luck cats already has such a developed style that concept art is no longer necessary.
