South Steen’s excitement - Band stallion decided to run off the colt and the colt thought that I was a maypole - and around and around they went. The colt was only a yearling and I did not see what ticked off the stallion. My guess is that the colt thought that if he ran to me then the stallion would quit chasing him - that didn’t happen. I was way out in the brush so I really didn’t have anywhere to go and since I was being a cooperative maypole, I just turned around and around and kept taking photographs. In several of the photographs you can see that both of the horses are looking directly at me - but - I never learned to fly so there I stayed. Finally the young one took off away from me and the stallion went back to his mares. It was a good day!😁(I have never had a wild horse try to run over me - I do not infringe upon their space or present a challenge to them. I have had them run past me for various reasons and in this case the young colt thought that perhaps my presence might deter the stallion)
