Next chapter of Tethering Realities is up!

Chapter 4 of Tethering Realities. : Baby has a conversation with someone besides Zoey about being tethered to this reality. Things are discussed and Baby knows his limits, in order to do better, he puts the conversation on hold.

I was angry so I wrote some fluff to calm down. Another installment in my Baby/Zoey being pregnant series!

I wrote it for a specific scene... Did not write the scene... So made it multi chapter 1/3.

Part 3 of my Watching Our Love Grow series where Zoey and Baby are expecting a baby! So if you've read the last part of the series, you already know what the baby is. I wrote the last fic first (Sweet Child O Mine) and then all the rest came after it.

OK so basically, within Gambit, im keeping as much of Baby’s backstory as vague as humanly which is a lot easier said then done when you come up with ideas and each one doesn’t typically flow together, but they also make for an interesting concept.

One such concept in this instance being,

The idea Baby's not ACTUALLY suppose to be bound to Gwi-ma…While I wont go into too much detail, all I will say is that Gwi-ma was not truthful about the “deal” he made with him and much like with Jinu, there is a very high chance Baby was tricked.

To be frank, he most likely was.

Especially if given to the idea/fact that much of Baby’s prior history was spent in times of less then stellar mental stability. After all, its proven that it’s not all that hard to convince someone suffering from a manic state, of new ideas/influences, solely because mania fundamentally alters a brain’s chemistry, reducing cognitive function, impairing judgment, and suspending the brain’s ability to process negative consequences. As a result, some people can be easily influenced during a time of mania/hypomania.

The question is though…

What DID Gwi-ma promise him…

Was it fame?

Fortune? Maybe But for who

After all, Zoey and Baby were both childhood friends with dreams of success. Part of it because of their talents. Another part was to prove to their parents that they COULD make it despite their high expectations/low support. They both dreamed big, they both wanted to get big together. It’s a dream they both had strived for. A dream they wanted to accomplish together. Even now at that time, so far away from her, he still thought of her…so is it so simple or easy to think that that is what Baby had wished for, wanted most… Even though, at the time, he had no idea what he was giving up for it. But also, the possible idea of him not caring what ever happened to HIM. Him all but giving up, nothing works out right for him, nothing ever has, his bones hurt, his heads a mess, it would be worthless to waste a dream, especially one so glamorous, on someone like him, so at least give the one sense of serenity in his life a chance, that's all he wants. . . give it to her

Baby giving up his soul to make her dream come true actually guts something in me

Like he has the ability to make a deal with someone who promises to give him anything he wants but what he wants isn’t even for himself
