Jazzy scoffed. “He’s a newbie, and he also cat-called me a few days ago. So, I may have went into the wrong cabin and happened to grab some clothes I found by the shower he might have been in.” Her eyes danced with devious joy as she continued before her smile fell. “But of course that’s all theoretical. Anybody asks I don’t know anything about a blond skinny boy who lost his pants.” She pointed behind her left shoulder with her thumb. “The lake’s that way, right? What were you doing heading over there anyways?”

The girl smile as Jazzy took a seat next to her. She always had such a great time with the girl. “Oh we can certainly go swimming some day or honestly whenever. As long as we finish practice and whatever else we have to do.” She smiled. “Plus I’m sure we’ll look really hot in our bikinis and have a lot of people drooling.” She joked, half playing but also half serious because she knew the two of them were beautiful and were a force together. “Oh scientifically speaking I would pick the sun. It would just be a faster death therefore making it less painful. Like I would burn quickly. Meanwhile drowning takes longer so it would certainly be more painful and who wants a slow death.”

“Thank you!” Jazmine threw up her hands with an exasperated sigh. “This girl I met in the dining hall was trying to tell me that drowning was superior because you fall asleep. I don’t know what she’s on but the sun is clearly the way to go. Plus you get to go to space to do it?! Come on!” She laughed enthusiastically. “Okay so now that we’re on the same page about that, I have to say that this camp is not ready for us in bikinis. I will put $50.00 on the bet that as soon as you wear yours out you will get at least two phone numbers in one hour.”

“Alright,” the woman chucked as she shifted the duffle bag on her shoulder. “next time I’ll call you so you can get photographic evidence. Blackmail has to be good for something, right? We could make millions.” Now laughing at the thought of blackmailing the man, “I don’t have any kind of sense of direction.” She glanced around her aimlessly. “ I swear this is why my mom lost me at the grocery store so often. And why I’m always losing this.” Holding up her phone, she noted that she did not have service. “So do you know what direction the lake is? Now that’s something worth taking photos of... and also where my cabin is I think.”

normally riley would’ve been thrilled to meet someone at the field at the crack of dawn but all that excitement was thrown away when she realised the other person wasn’t dressed in workout clothes, something she expected to meet them for at 7 am. ‘’you’re telling me i’m here for something that isn’t training you?’’ she huffed as she put down her water bottle. it was only the first few days but her hands were itching to get to work and to do something else that wasn’t relaxing by the lake or well, do simply something with her time. with a frustrated look, she glanced over at the other. ‘’so, why am i here?’’

“First of all,” Jazmine scoffed, “we would be training together. You and I both know I could totally kick your ass in a race.” the female innocently smiled and shrugged at the other. “And second, are you really going to complain to me that you’re wearing workout gear? Say what you want but my uniform shorts are comfortable as hell. Anyways,” Jazzy reached into her back pocket and pulled out a small, golden key. “Three guesses to tell me what this goes to.” Her gaze danced around the other’s expression playfully, trying to read her expression as she held the key out on her open palm.

Evangeline had finished organizing her room, practiced a bit and done her work out routines for the day so she figured it was time to enjoy herself. She was always a big fan of nature and the outdoors, so as the sun began to set she made her way over to the dock knowing she would get the best view there. The girl made her way over to the dock admiring the site as she walked. She was truly excited about an opportunity to learn and bond with her team, which she knew would only strengthen them. Of course she knew there would be distractions, but her head was in the game. She sat on the edge of the dock dangling her legs over the water as she looked up enjoying the view. It was all so peaceful to her. She heard some footsteps behind her and scoot over assuming the person had the same idea in mind. “It’s all so beautiful isn’t it. Definitely wouldn’t be able to find a view like this to watch the sunset on campus. I love it.”

“Wouldn’t trade it for anything.” Jazzy grinned as her eyes danced along the water in the horizon before landing on her new companion before plopping down beside her on the dock. Her homemade anklets dangled just below her feet and skimmed the water. “There are a lot of cool things here, but this is my favorite spot. Mostly for swimming, but also the occasional pondering of the meaning of life.” she threw the other female a knowing grin. Leaning back on her hands, she continued. “Okay, fun game. If you had to chose between death by drowning or death by being thrown into the sun, which would you choose?” Her question dripped with amusement as she glanced over at Eva.

crunch. the sound of vincenzo biting into the apple was lost in the noise of the dining hall, but, he wouldn’t have cared regardless. he often failed to think of little things such as that, just like how he forgot to swallow his food before speaking, “is this seat taken?” he asked loudly, in order to be heard over the noise. it was also worth mentioning that he was bad at waiting for answers, so without giving them enough time to reply he simply sat down a wide smile plastered across his face as he took another bite of the apple. “thanks,” he nodded, “i needed to rest my feet,” he spoke with a laugh as he used his apple to gesture towards the ground. “so,” he began to speak once more, his eyebrow arched as he turned to face his new companion, “how was your day?”

Jazzy eyed the man as he sat down at the table. “Oh you know, exciting as always. My watch says I ran fifteen miles today.” the female glanced down at the black watch on her wrist nonchalantly as she leaned back and placed her elbow casually on the side of the empty chair next to her. “What about you, twinkle toes? I assume you also had to do drills today.” she smirked and glanced down at the figure’s feet. “Then again, they never do make the guys work as hard as us.” With a shrug she tilted her head slightly before grabbing another raw almond from the Ziplock bag on the table.

“Hey,” Jazmine nodded towards the person as she plopped her duffle bag on the grass. “I don’t want to be that guy, but I’m pretty sure I saw some guy naked guy running over there.” The female pointed towards the cabin behind her before rummaging through her bag. “I can’t believe someone would steal someone else’s clothes from the shower.” she mumbled under her breath. “Some people, am I right?” a sly smile crept across her face. Her slender hand reached into her bag and pulled out a neatly folded Men’s practice jersey and shorts, neatly placing them on the ground beside her before before wiping off her hands and looking back at her companion with an innocent smile. “Anyways, do you happen to know where Cabin B1 is?”
