One of the ways I show love to myself is by allowing people to leave my life when their time is up. If they want to leave, I let them. I do not ask questions or implore them to stay. I accept what is. I feel my feelings & grieve as necessary. This process prepares me for new people & experiences. It helps me recognize that people are on their own journey and I am to appreciate the time spent with them. Nothing more, nothing less.

I learned that you can try to encourage people as much as possible but some will not receive it. They are not ready to accept the possibility of a better life and that is on them.
