Everything about how Louis truly feels is revealed in the way he walks with people.

With Zayn he is clearly in sync, there is a mutual awareness that they have each other’s backs and Louis always seemed to have a little bit more of that cool confidence when walk together,

with Liam he looks for ways to bring him out of his head, maybe an elbow to the ribs or a funny remark (or in this case some silly string) so he is not constantly overthinking and relaxes a bit, even if it’s just for a second, while also staying back with him when he inevitably gets out of his rhythm and gives him a hug or two,

with Niall it’s like a big brother joking around with his little one, trying to make him laugh as much as possible while being aware of the responsibilities that the stars in the other ones eyes bring and being ready to step up for him if necessary,

now with E it’s a completely different story, he does his best to AVOID walking with her at all, always walking before her, which means he doesn’t see her, he doesn’t care, he’s clearly very comfortable just ignoring her existence

(seriously if Louis apparently “knows you well” and walks before u without a care, without adjusting to ur own walk, he doesn’t like you, seen in all the stunts).

And now Harry: Louis seems to always be just one small step behind him, hand close to or on his back, guiding him lovingly and with a gentleness that when put next to how he is with the other boys clearly reads as *more*.

And even when they weren’t (allowed to be) close anymore, the hand just got replaced with eyes full of attention and awareness of every single movement that Harry makes, completely in tune with all his tells.

It’s so strong that I don’t ever remember a time where Louis wasn’t walking behind Harry.

(Just like I don’t really remember a time where Harry didn’t automatically look or lean back to Louis whenever he’s unsure or upset or anything like that)
