but upon seeing your saddened expression, he felt a frown form on his face. he schooled his expression and crossed his arms. he wanted to say, hah, can't even socialize? but he bit back his words and instead opted for, "i don't see the problem. it's not like you need friends to survive."

"i know, but it makes me sad that i don't have anyone," you say.

scaramouche rolled his eyes internally. sad, huh? how emotional.

"'don't have anyone,' you say?" scaramouche glanced at you. he genuinely felt offended. "am i nothing to you?"

wait, does he consider us friends? you thought.

upon seeing your eyes widen at his words, scaramouche pursed his lips in a straight line, realizing his mistake. before he could scramble to correct himself, you spoke.

"not at all. it's just... i thought you hated me."

scaramouche stared at you, dumbfounded. as he processed your words, he couldn't help but think, not only do they feel lonely, i made them feel like they're hated.

"you're clearly blind," he said as he regained composure. "what would it take to make an idiot such as yourself feel better?"

you thought for a moment before answering with, "a hug." you pushed your luck.

you think i'd stoop so low as to give you a hug? he thought.

the two of you stared at each other for a long moment before scaramouche uncrossed his arms, sighing. "you better not be feeling lonely after this. don't waste my efforts. ...come here."

as he took you into his arms, his touch was tender and surprisingly light. he tucked your head in the crook of his neck, hiding his face from your gaze. it's a shame you wouldn't be able to see the fond look in his expression.

his doe eyes were blown wide at your confession, though it didn't take long for a smile to take over his expression.

"aw, you're so sweet. i wouldn't choose anyone else to be my companion!"

before you could explain yourself, he took your hand in his and lead you near a tree. he suddenly bent down and picked a flower. once he stood up, he held the flower with both hands, offering it to you.

"ah, i love you too..."

his mouth hung open, thinking of other words to say, but nothing came out. he clearly had no experience. after a moment, he spoke.

"i've heard that when two people love each other, they give each other flowers. oh, speaking of flowers, i've recently tried this one tea flavor made with this one flower–i should make it for you sometime."

um, he's quite innocent.

in conclusion, kabukimono does in fact love you too. he just doesn't have a full grasp of what love means yet.

you did it. you finally admitted your feelings for him. not gonna lie, it was scary. in fact, you were borderline hyperventilating as you awaited his response, avoiding eye contact at all costs.

you two were next to each other. so close, yet so far. you couldn't see his expression from the way you stared at the ground in anticipation. the silence was eating you up inside, and you couldn't handle much longer.

"look at me."

his voice snapped you out of your thoughts, taking a moment to register his request.

"...just for a moment," he spoke.

though his voice was quieter than usual, it didn't help with your racing heartbeat and uneven breathing. you fidgeted with your hands, weighing your options, hesitating before lifting your gaze from the ground to his face. your body tenses subconsciously, preparing for his wrath and uncaring behavior.

his eyes widen upon seeing your expression. you were crying. why are you crying? he wants to ask, yet he stops himself. he notices you tense up. were you scared of him? he instead takes a different approach.

"keep looking, please."

he knew how you would always avoid eye contact. he hated it. it always irritated him how he'd never get to see your face, how you'd always hide when he wanted to see your expression the most.

"i'm not mad. i... i won't yell at you."

without much thought, his hand went up to your face–his heart broke at the sight of you flinching, regret filled his mind thinking of the times he'd been harsh towards you–his thumb brushing your tears away.

"i might," he stammered, "i might feel the same."

in conclusion, scaramouche never knew about his feelings towards you until he saw the tears on your face. he needs time to process his newfound feelings.

he wants to make sure that you know what you'd be getting yourself into. him, out of all people? are you out of your mind?

he pursed his lips, analyzing your expression and body language. inside, he really doesn't know how to respond. he doesn't really believe it.

"are you sure?" he asked.

"why wouldn't i be?" you respond.

his mind was racing with so many questions. "but, you know how i'm like." it's true, you two have hung out on multiple occasions. he had never put up a front with you–or with anyone, for that matter. you know his true self well. so, why?

deep, deep down, he may be a tad bit insecure. just a little. okay, he feels like he doesn't deserve love–he doesn't deserve you.

"do you really want to live with my annoying remarks for the rest of your life?" he crosses his arms and tilted his head, making him seem judgemental in a negative way–but he's worried. just a little worried about you.

he's not sure if he's able to trust someone to that extent, but with you... of course he loves you. he's just scared.

scared for one, that you'd get sick of him and hate his attitude, and two, you'd get taken away from him too.

he's warning you, but he's secretly hoping you'd ignore all his warnings. he needs a hug.

The sun set, the moon rise. It was finally time to trick or treat, and you were holding your mother's hand, walking through the city.

She bent down a bit, pointing towards a house. "That house has a lot of candy! I bet they'd like your costume~" she whispered, pushing you gently. You jumped excitedly and hurried to the front door.

While you were asking for candy, your mother got distracted. An old friend of hers approached her, making your mother forget about you for a bit. You skipped over to your mom, patiently waiting for her conversation to end.

In the corner of your eye, you saw a sword. Whipping your head around, you saw someone in a samurai costume. You looked to your mother and back, thinking it was fine to run off for a bit.

"H-Hi sir!" you clutched your candy bucket, realizing that the man with the sword was intimidating up close– not until he turned around and smiled.

"Aw, hello there! What a cute angel," the samurai placed his hands on his knees, bending down a bit. You smiled happily, "Is that sword real??"

He chuckled and started to unsheath his sword. "Of course, would you like to see?" You jumped up and down, so happy to see a real sword. Of course, it was just a simple prop, but you didn't need to know.

Moving on from his sword, the samurai picked up a huge glass bowl filled with candy. He was walking around, handing out candy to the children. He looked at you expectantly. "Oh–! Trick or treat!" you lifted your candy bucket.

The samurai lightly laughed, grabbing a couple of candies. "Here, take two. You deserve it," he dropped the candies in your bucket. "Wow, two!! I got two!!!" You sang, smile never faltering.

"Y/n? Y/n!" Your mother's voice rung in your ears. "Oh thank the archons, I thought I lost you!" She ran up to you, sighing in relief. You waited for her to catch her breathe.

"Mommy, I met a samurai!" You pointed. "Huh? Oh, are you Kazuha? From what I've heard, you're a wanderer." Kazuha nodded.

Not wanting to leave Kazuha just yet, you pulled out your angel wand prop. "Wait! You were so kind to me, samurai! I shall grant you my magical angel magic!" You waved your wand in no particular pattern.

Kazuha smiled gently. "Aw, you really are an angel." Hearing that made you smile proudly. "Before we part ways, I'd like to give you my samurai blessing, as thanks." Kazuha took his sword in his hands. You stared up at him, sparkles in your eyes.

"Well, I have a long night ahead of me." Kazuha bowed to your mother. "Goodbye, Mrs. L/n."

You watched as he tilted the sword to your side, then the other side, then sheathed the sword and softly pat your head. You smiled cheerfully.

Your mother took your hand in hers. "That samurai was such a kind boy. Did you remember to thank him?" "Ah!" You stopped walking. "Thaaank youuu misterrr saaamurai!" you jumped and waved in Kazuha's direction.

It was the morning of Halloween. You and Xiao were observing Liyue harbour from a distance, seeing everyone work together to decorate for tonight.

Xiao felt a presence. Looking behind the two of you, he saw the traveler and Paimon approach. "Goodmorning Xiao! Goodmorning Y/n!" Paimon waved as you and Xiao stood up. "Goodmorning," you waved back.

"Are you two going to celebrate Halloween?" The traveler tilted their head, curious. Xiao crossed his arms as you answered for both of you. "I don't know. I don't think Xiao wants to." The older adeptus hesitantly nodded his head, agreeing with you.

Paimon shouted, "Come on, Xiao! Just this once, please?" She stomped her foot in the air. "Look at Y/n pouting! Do it for Y/n."

You in fact weren't pouting at all. Halloween would be enjoyable just hanging out with your family, which happens to just be Xiao. You turned to look at him. "You don't have to, I don't really mind."

Xiao let out a "hmph" and uncrossed his arms. "This holiday is... a little new to me." Paimon and the traveler smiled. "Then the traveler can show you how to celebrate! We can make the perfect costume for you two!" The older adeptus had no choice, now holding your hand as you follow the traveler.

When you all were dressed and accessories adjusted, you took a good look at Xiao. "I think we can get a lot of candy with our costumes," you admitted. The traveler approached you. "Yeah, I think so too." Paimon followed. "Well, we better see you tonight. Bye~!"

You and Xiao decided to hang out at the balcony of Wanshu Inn for a bit in silence, staring into the distance. Getting a sad thought, you opened your mouth to make a comment. After hesitating, you changed your mind and stayed quiet.

"You have something to say. Tell me." Xiao walked up next to you, leaning on the wooden rail and looking down. You looked to the ground far below you aswell. "...I don't think you will like it." You sighed quietly, trying to ignore your sad thoughts.

"I don't care. Spit it out." To other people, that statement would sound intimidating. But you know better than that. "I just wish that..." You looked to your opposite side, scared how Xiao will react. "...that our brothers and sisters were here. Today would be more fun."

"..." Xiao thought about the other yakshas silently. It indeed made him a bit sad. "Well," he looked up at the sky, stars starting to become visible. "I'm glad you're still here with me." You looked at him, noticing his face has softened.

You scooted closer to him, touching shoulders as a form of a hug. Xiao did not back away. "Yeah." Looking in the distance with your enhanced vision, you saw the people of Liyue harbour with their costumes and candy buckets.

Scaramouche didn't care for Halloween. The only reason why he was sighing and staring at his costume in the mirror right now was because the 12th fatui harbinger bribed him into it.

Both harbingers made it to the city. "Well, I'm going. You better not run away." Childe disappeared into the city.

Getting blackmailed was worse. Scaramouche was pushed outside to go to Inazuma city. "For what reason?" Scaramouche almost whined. "Oh come on, Balladeer." Childe was careful not to ruin his own costume. "You need to stop acting so grumpy. Today's a holiday! Just relax and go up to people's doors and ask for candy."

Scaramouche squinted, blinded by the bright Halloween themed lights in contrast to the dark night.

He resisted scratching his neck, which felt tingly due to the sloppy green paint. A sigh fell from his lips as he reluctanty started making his way through the crowds, knowing that Childe wouldn't let him off the hook if he ditched Halloween.

Halloween was pretty boring so far... Until Scaramouche felt a stare. It seemed like an innocent stare, so he tried to ignore it. It was hard when the presence kept getting closer.

"Hey, mister..?" It was a child. Scaramouche stared down at you. "Are you a real zombie?" He was hesitant to answer, not knowing how to deal with kids. After a few moments he slowly nodded.

"Oh, it is a real zombie!" You tried to contain your excitement, looking up at the zombie in awe. "I heard that zombies don't talk, so I know you're telling the truth." Welp, guess he's not allowed to speak anymore.

Scaramouche internally sighed. He knew full well that you definitely wouldn't leave him anytime soon.

You told him to follow you so you could "help him trick–or–treat." Rambling mindlessly to him, you noticed he was only walking behind you. You came to a halt, and so did he.

"Oh I remember, zombies walk slow." In truth, Scaramouche didn't trust you enough to walk beside you. "Well, 's okay. I can help." You stumbled on your words innocently as you took his hand in your smaller one. The zombie had no choice, now walking beside you, hand tense.

"Look!" You pulled out your candy bag. "'s a lot of candy!" Hearing your little giggle, Scaramouche couldn't stay mad at you for long.

After knocking on a few doors to ask for candy, the harbinger got used to you dragging him around. When you were done trick–or–treating, you sat Scaramouche down at a restaurant.

"Hello! Would you like to order anything?" A waiter came up to you two. "Uhh, water! 'Cause it can get rid of cavities, right?" You looked at the waiter, the zombie, and back. "Of course! Anything for you, sir?" Scaramouche closed his mouth as soon as he opened it. He shook his head no.

When the waiter left, you suddenly went quiet to enjoy your candy. You offered your new zombie friend one, and Scaramouche surprisingly accepted the candy. You looked up at the stars. "Ou wait. I think I gotta go home now," you pouted.

"...Are we friends now?" You faced Scaramouche. He thought for a moment. Well, if it would make you–a child who was kind towards him–happy... He nodded his head.

You smiled. "Yay! Now I know we will see each other again!" You jumped off your chair, holding your bag of candy. "Bye mister!" The zombie slowly waved goodbye, watching as you ran back to where you came from.

The harbinger was dumbfounded, staring at his hands and thinking about everything that happened. Soon after, the same waiter gave him a glass of water. Scaramouche didn't touch the glass, only stared at it.

"Oh? What do we have here?" Tartaglia greeted the zombie and took a seat on the chair you used. "I saw everything. But, you probably already know that." The ginger laughed softly. "I truly didn't expect the almighty Balladeer to go soft for a child."

Scaramouche glared at the taller male. Childe raised his hands in defense. "Alright, alright... I'll get to the point." Scaramouche let out a little "hmph" and rest his head on his hand.

"You know, I actually know the kid you were hanging out with." The Balladeer raised his brow, side glaring Tartaglia. "Their past is sort of tragic, but I won't get into full detail."

Childe rest his head on his hand aswell, getting a better look at his fellow harbinger. He hesitated to continue. "You know, Scaramouche... I've never actually seen the kid happy. I've never even seen them smile. But, tonight was..."

Scaramouche stared at the glass once again, remembering the way you often smiled up at him. "Ah, but you get my point already. Anyway, there are kids waiting for me to trick–or–treat with them. See you at work tomorrow." And just like that, Tartaglia disappeared into the city once again.

The Balladeer stared at his hand that was painted green, turning it around to observe his palm. He could see some of the paint has been messily wiped off, like another person's hand was holding his.

If Childe had a vampire costume, he's bound to be playful. Well, he already is, but it gets ten–times worse.

He decides to go out early when the sun's still showing, to see everyone making preparations. Childe already has his vampire costume on. No one knows how he does well in this heat.

Along the way, he spots you sitting all alone, doing nothing. Maybe you were just waiting for someone? Tartaglia shook his head sightly. Either way, he shouldn't leave a child all by thereselves.

Childe quietly comes up behind the bench you were sitting on. "Boo!" He bends down to your ear. "Ah!" You flinched, instinctively jumping up from the bench and turning to face him.

"Well well well, don't get all scared now. I'm just here to suck your blood~" He pulled his cape to cover half of his face. Your ears perked up at the sound of his vampire accent. "Woah, a real vampire..."

Childe swerved around the bench to sit on it, indirectly offering you to sit aswell. You did, with much excitement. "Can I see your fangs??" You pronounced a couple words wrong, due to you speaking so fast.

"Now, why would I want to show you?" Tartaglia teased, resting an arm on the armrest. "P-please? I never met a vampire before! I... I think they can turn into bats!" You guessed.

He couldn't keep up the act anymore, genuinely smiling at you and showing off his fake fangs at the same time. Once Childe knew you were completely comfortable with him, he started asking questions.

"I have to ask, are you here because you're waiting for someone?" You shook your head no. "Earlier, a girl came up to me and asked why I was lonely. I don't know." Suddenly, Tartaglia gets a thought about his family, how he wasn't able to visit Snezhnaya during this holiday.

Of course he gets sad at the thought, yet he wasn't going to let his guard down further. "Aw. Well, I'm sooo lonely, too. You wouldn't leave such a lonely vampire all by himself, right?" Actually, it was the other way around. He would be the one never leaving your side tonight. Tartaglia pouted at you, secretly planning how to make your Halloween better–if not the best.

After the fun yet chaotic night trick–or–treating with Childe, you both came to a stop.

Childe faced you, examining both of your bags filled with candy. Before anything else, he has to ask this question. "Do you have a place to go back to?" He tilted his head to look innocent. After you nodded yes, a smirk returned to his face.

"You better enjoy all those candies. I prefer your blood sweet," One last impression to end Halloween. You stared up at him, nervously shifting your feet. "But I don't want to go home and leave you! I already miss you! And plus you'll be a lonely vampire again," It was your turn to pout.

Tartaglia's laugh was genuine as he pet your head, fangs showing. "You know I can't stay long, the sun is about to rise which would make me disappear forever." You gasped.

"Oh, one last thing." You watched as he reached into his bag, only to pull out one tiny piece of candy. "My name," he placed the candy in your bag, "is Ajax."

When Tartaglia reached his room, he tossed the bag of candy to the side while carelessly throwing off the fabric of his costume one by one.

He sighed, reaching his desk as he pulled something fragile out of his pocket. It was a picture he took with his Kamera, a picture of him playfully running away with your trick–or–treating bag while you were in the background, a bit blurred and seeming to chase him.

Xiao

Xiao felt a presence.

Immediately turning to look behind him, he found you. You were staring up at him, nervous.

He uncrossed his arms turned around fully. "What are you doing here, on the balcony?" Xiao scolded you.

"..." You fidgeted with your hands, lowering your head. You heard him tsk. "You need to stay in bed."

You took a step forward before hesitating. You didn't want Xiao to catch your sickness, after all. "Can you help me take my medicine..?" You asked, voice weak and sore.

Xiao huffed and bent down. "Come here."

After feeding you the medicine, Xiao stayed sitting on his knees. You took a couple steps back, confused on why he's frozen on the floor.

He looked at you with anxious eyes. "...Are you feeling better today?"

You opened your mouth in slight surprise before nodding. "B-But not really because I can't hug you." You pouted.

Xiao sighed once again before crossing his legs to get more comfortable. "I don't catch colds easily, so you can do whatever you want..." He mumbled.

You barely heard him. When you tilted your head in confusion, Xiao furrowed his eyebrows. "I... It's nothing. Come here," He pat his lap.

You were still hesitant, yet curled on his lap anyway, nuzzling your little head in his chest. Xiao carefully wrapped his arms around you, making you feel comfortable and content.

"Is this better?" He asked you, making sure you were okay with this. You let out a muffled, "Mhm," and closed your eyes, lightly grabbing his shirt with your tiny hands.

You enjoyed the slight breeze, resting atop Wangshu Inn.

Kazuha

You were finally making your way to Inazuma city with your big brother. You really missed the place, and you finally got the chance to take a little trip.

Germs and sickness really got to you. You felt the chills all night long.

You woke up alone. It was to be expected. Kazuha wasn't allowed to sleep with you, since you were sick.

Making your way through the ship, you found Kazuha outside, leaning forward on the rails. He heard your footsteps, and turned around.

"Good morning," He smiled. You walked up next to him, also leaning on the rails aswell. You coughed before greeting him with a good morning.

Kazuha placed a hand over on your shoulder. "Are you feeling better today?" You weren't sure of the answer, so you shrugged, not wanting to use your croaky voice.

"U-Umm..." You stuttered. Kazuha hummed, gesturing for you to say something. "Please don't touch me, y-you'll get sick..." You looked up to him with a pout.

"Oh?" He smirked, not removing his hand. "You're the one who approached and stood extremely close to me." He teased you.

You lowered your head in embarrassment. "I couldn't help it," You mumbled, barely audible.

"I missed you."

"Aww." He cooed at you and leaned closer to your face, giving you a side hug from your waist. "You're so cute when you're sick."

You tensed up, trying to avoid eye contact. You felt really small, trapped in Kazuha's embrace.

Kazuha properly hugged you this time. You were enjoying the hug— Until Kazuha coughed.

"...Seems I have caught a cold aswell." You broke the hug, pouting and softly punching his chest. "That's what you get for being so close..!"

He chuckled. "At least we can cuddle tonight." You gasped, jaw dropped, and started doing happy little jumps.

Kazuha laughed with you. "Now, now. Don't get so excited, you still need to take your medicine."

You remind him of when he had to adjust to mortal life.

Zhongli has learned a lot, so he's willing to walk you around Liyue and ramble about anything you see.

If you do something stupid, Zhongli would try to understand your perspective. If it was harmless, he'd chuckle and probably coo at you.

Some people might bully you for acting so dumb. If you come home crying, Zhongli's ready to put up a fight.

Other than that, he'd sit you on his lap and reassure you that you're okay, you did nothing wrong and it wasn't your fault. After that, he'll pull you in bed. Zhongli likes to sleep holding your hand.

In the mornings or evenings, if you like sweets, Zhongli will take you out for mochi or something.

He tried taking you to where he and other people were negotiating about a trade. You were so confused the whole time, Zhongli now asks Childe if he could look after you.

If you're cold, Zhongli picks you up and hides you under his coat. Or if you're a little taller, he'll just wrap his coat around you.

When you two first met, you were a bit uncomfortable and shy with him. Zhongli actually tells you he's an ex archon, and can protect you.

His favorite place to kiss you is your hand.

You sometimes do stupid stuff infront of people, and those people sometimes get angry at you.
