so there are a few moments when Jamie has to read somethings to the Doctor in some episodes, with that I have this headcanon that the Doctor actually stopped multiple times during their travels just to teach Jamie to write and read and omg that's the gayest thing I could ever imagine. this would make sense since Jamie is from 18th century Scotland and as far as I can remember, most people during that period didn't had access to this kind of education

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was just thinking about how after Charley told the Doctor to never say "I love you" again if he really doesn't mean it, in Scherzo, he really never said again, canonically that's the last the Doctor actually says I love you, he wasn't even able to say it to River Song for example, as far as I can remember
