…To have my kids watch movies for the last few days of class, or not, that is the question…

I think everyone would love you if you just let everyone watch movies. I mean, at this point nobody wants to do anything. 

Making sure you don’t spend Christmas alone is my job as your best friend. There is no way I’d allow you not to stay with me. You’re right because I already have a stack of presents for you on my bedroom floor. Well, I hope you know that if you move over an hour away then I’m coming with you. I don’t care if there’s no art schools around, I only care about being with you.

Has anyone ever told you that you're too nice? Pretty sure I've never done anything to deserve your kindness. I should've known, always making it impossible for anyone to compete with you. Absolutely not, there's no way that I would allow you to do that. I won't be the reason why you stop doing what you love.

I know you do, Jay, but you deserve to be treated to presents for Christmas. It’s the least I can do for you, Jay. You know I would give you the world if you’d let me. I know, you going to go away for college then? Am I going to lose you?

You making sure that I don't spend Christmas by myself is honestly good enough for me. But I know no matter how much I try to persuade you to not get me anything you still will so there's no point arguing about it. I've not decided how far away I want to go just that I don't want to be here anymore, but don't be silly you'd still be my best friend even if I ended up moving to the other side of the country.

Does anyone understand the new trend of those choker necklaces? All I ever get are questions about them, and I have no idea what they even are.

I know right? Can't imagine myself having a different job at the moment. About two years, started there soon after I turned 16.

You’ll find something eventually. I think everyone does. I actually might change my major next semester to theater, I just have to figure out how to break it to them. Technically I’m an adult now so I should be able to do my own thing.

Well there is comics. I've always been a big fan but it's not really much. Just me being a huge geek. That's good though, they might be upset with you at first but I'm sure they'll come around eventually because they're your parents and they love you.

I’d like that. Maybe I can ask a girl on a date or something and take her to the movies then.

Well the movies do seem to be a popular option for dates. I'm almost scared to find out what people do in the back of the dark theaters. We've gotten some complaints about there being too much PDA.

Sometimes I think you don’t know just how much money I have, but I know you’ve seen my bank balance and you know I can afford art supplies and presents for you and to afford to help you move out of your house but for some reason you won’t let me help you with the last one and you’re reluctant to let me give you presents… you should know by now that I’m going to spoil you every year, no matter how much you tell me not to.

I just value your friendship way more than anything money could buy. It's why I don't ever ask for anything and why I wouldn't be able to ever ask that of you. I'll figure it out eventually, plus I've just got this year of school left before I start college. If everything goes according to plan I won't ever have to come back ever again. 

It get that feeling every time I have way too much going on in one day and when I don’t feel very well.

There had to be something that you’re passionate about! You don’t know my parents, they’re really stubborn about what they want me to do with my life.

Not that I can think of. Guess I've just been too preoccupied to try and find something to have a passion in. Well if push comes to shove you could always just do your own thing when you become independent. 

Yeah, lucky me! That’s okay. Work is most definitely not as stressful as school is.
