thinking about how lucio is one of the most punk characters ive seen in my life that isnt explicitly stated to be punk. i mean come on. think about it, walk with me here. i NEED peopole to understand how insane i am over this
Lúcio and his neighbors had been told that the development would improve their lives. However, that promise never became a reality. Vishkar imposed controls on the residents in the name of building a more orderly society: enforcing curfews, cracking down on what the company perceived as lawless behavior, and exploiting the populace as a cheap labor force. Lúcio wouldn't stand for it. He stole Vishkar sonic technology that had been used to suppress the people (initially invented by Lucio's father, although it was owned and patented by Vishkar), and he converted it into a tool to rally them to action. In Lúcio's words, "when my father got mixed up with Vishkar, that's when I really started to see the world for what it was."
-and he helped lead a riot, revolt, whatever you want to call it where he drove vishkar out of his city. COME ON. HE THREW AUTHORITY OUT. not just that but like the heavy emphasis on music and the power behind it. punk culture IS the music, you can't separate it. even if i doubt lucio actually played in that genre i wanna mention it anyway because you just cant have punk without music

OMG. he's literally a freedom fighter. look me dead in the eyes and tell me he wouldn't be all for the punk movement. he literally committed a crime too during the pushback against vishkar.
