Snowpine week Day 2 - Aged Up
Hooooo boy I have so many headcanons on this one. Like a whole dang story on this.
So. With Whitley the heir, he is pretty much educated and trained to take over SDC and once he’s of age, he dives right in as the CEO and not just a figure head, determined to steer the company straight. But he still lives in the manor by himself. And Oscar wants him to move away from there, into an actual home.
So Oscar makes him a home.
It takes some time and coaxing to get Whitley to move away from the only life he’s ever known, but after some time he manages to get Whitley moved into the little country house.
Oscar has taken up farming again and functions as a hunter for the local town. He’s slowly trying to convince Whitley that live stock is a good idea and is convincing him with cute baby cows and pigs. Oscar has built a sunroom to keep Whitley’s piano in. Whitley often has to travel back to Atlas to do business but for the most part does his work from their home.
Whitley was the one who insisted on all the photos. He didn’t want portraits, he wanted pictures that captured life.
Winter and Weiss visit often. Those relationships weren’t easy to repair and it still takes a lot of work. But they’ve learned how to talk to each other and they all make an effort. Whitley likes playing host when its his actual home.
If I’m feeling angsty, Oscar slowly fades away and sometimes Whitley will start conversations with “is it you?” Until finally he’s gone and only Ozpin is left and Whitley is alone again.
But most times its either Oscar and Ozpin share the same body or they found a way for Ozpin to leave peacefully and Whitley and Oscar share a happy life together.
Often times Whitely comes home exhausted and Oscar has been out all day and they pass out on the couch.
They have a cat.

Any normal person would call it social isolation. Depression. Attention seeking.
