This afternoon I filled it up with my crap.

I’m either making too much art or not selling enough, or both.

All I seem to be doing at the moment is tidying, building, tidying, making a mess and my brain is being boiled to a thick chowder. Fook it’s hot 🥵

Almost 12 out of 34 paintings done!

Trouble with the paint means new ideas developing. It’s not even July/August yet & the temperature is immense.

I’m applying paint, cleaning my stuff then before I can continue the paint is already drying.

Even when I’ve done a full days graft, gotta pay the bills, I try to get a minimum 2 hours per day in the studio to feel like I’m getting somewhere. Love my full studio days.

This first series is almost done and I’m brimming with new ideas again. I think it’s a good way to get back on track, repeating what you did last after such a long break away from painting. 2017 was the last time and I think my work is still current. Loving the drippy sides

My weapon of choice to bring a chance element into my work. Painting series are numbered and actually the creative path I was on soon came back.

Remember this conversation Denis Whiteside @deniswhiteside ? Cutting into the board referring to my sculpture practice. It’s only recently I’ve felt confident in doing this because of these new Japanese saws.

Went for the €15 one when I should of gone for the €47

I’m going to sit with this cutting boards for a while. See how it feels

That’s the frames glued. Break time, then back this evening to glue the plywood to them. Tomorrow I’ll be able to get my router out for a nice clean edge. It’s warm. Everything is drying fast today 😁
