A Gentle Observation
Been some time since I have posted here. Big thing to mention is weβve just had a brand new baby boy, Asher Reece Casanova.
Last night I had one of those moments that i think all parents experience after becoming a parent. Some sooner and some later Iβm sure. It was the overwhelming feeling of joy as I watched Asher lay so still and peaceful in his bassinet. Donβt get me wrong i had some great feelings the day he was born, but with all that went on and sleep loss it was definitely not this kind of feeling.
It makes me think that this must be what our God Almighty feels every day with us, his children, in between all the whining, yelling, happiness and pain we go through in life, some towards him, but when those brief few moments in a day when calm hits our lives. He must look down in the same way and feel that overwhelming sense of joy. Although His love knows no bounds so I can only imagine what that kind of joy feels like.
For me during this calm. I was kneeled down over the bassinet. Outlining Asherβs ears, cute nose, and puckered lips. Almost falling asleep as I listened to his rhythmic breathing. The sense of joy and pride swelling up. Holding on to these moments and storing away so that I have something to remember in the future. Living in that very moment and not thinking about anything else. This is what parents were talking about when we were pregnant.
