Catastrophic Climate Change that Kills Civilizations.

What on Earth am I doing here? Good question - wish I had as good an answer. Firstly, I have no ownership of any photographs here. Secondly, all the photographs I have downloaded [to date] have been powerful images for me, in one way or another. I would be proud to have taken ANY of these photographs and I would like to thank those people for their great work. I do acknowledge these artists, where I know - and will always be very pleased to learn more about any photograph I use and will [very willingly] acknowledge the author of the photograph and the copy write holder. I suspect this blog is going to serve TWO purposes. The 1st is to allow me to share photos I've come across on the net that ‘appeal’ to me. There are aspects of ‘quality’ that I would like to emulate and one day, surpass. These photos have sometimes appealed to me for the story they tell, the human weakness they expose (see below) or the Truth they reveal. The ‘other’ will be to allow me space and time to “Vent against the Machine”. We have CATASTROPHIC CLIMATE CHANGE happening right now and the Australian Politicians are selling out the ordinary Citizen to the Corporate Interests that ‘own their anus' (only because I'm not allowed to type "arse" here) These Lobby & Sectional interest groups are primarily: The Hydrocarbon Lobby and The Transportation Lobby: those that use Petrol, who have ‘things’ moved from one place to another and those who understand that they will be defined as ‘heavy emitters of Carbon Pollution’ and who will bear a dis-proportionally high portion of the costs of mitigating the effects of ‘reducing carbon ppm in the atmosphere’ EVEN THOUGH they will simply pass these increases in costs onto 'Consumers'. The Political Parties and the ‘Politicians’ who seem to be incapable of moving or thinking outside of the ‘2 Term Electoral cycle’. They are so addicted to Power and Political Power that they seem no longer ABLE to understand concepts like; The Greater Good or In the National interest. My greatest concern is that the Economic Rationalist Philosophy of “The Free Market Economy” is INCAPABLE of ‘solving’ the Catastrophic Climate Change challenge facing the Planet. If this is correct, then in my Country of Australia, Democracy is no longer strong enough to make the changes that are going to be necessary to minimize the impacts of the increasing levels (ppm) of carbon in the Atmosphere. This has been a powerful realization and what I will post on next. (6 years later ~or maybe not)
