You burrow deeper into your pillows. “Go. Away.”

“I thought you said we were training this morning.” The voice speaks again.

Wanda.

Groaning, you roll over to see the young girl standing by the edge of your bed, your door open behind her. “What time is it?” You ask, rubbing your eyes.

She smiles nervously, and you immediately know the answer isn’t good. “6 o'clock.”

You stare at her for a moment before rolling back over in bed. “Wake me up in two hours.” Wanda closes her eyes and nods, walking to the door. “And Wanda?” She stops and looks back at you under the covers. “It’s okay. My first day, I was just excited as you are.”

Wanda smiles. “See you at eight, then?”

You yawn. “Yes.”
