the king is dead, all hail the new king â death â os
For months, the Games have been playing on every single television screen in Panem. The Capitol constantly reminded the Districts of their omnipotent power and their abilities to take away what the rebels held dearly. Children, snatched from their homes and forced to fight to the death. It was sick and cruel. At least Jared had the heart to spare young innocent lives, even if he did order the massacre of their parents, leaving dozens boys and girls as orphans.Â
Speaking of our troublesome royal who was finally disposed of in the Arena, Jaredâs legacy didnât end as a Tribute, but as a father.Â
9 months later...
After the slaughter of three children, the remaining two tributes are injured beyond belief and descend the stairs presented to them. That night of rest is valuable to them, and on the wall of their holding-cell appears to be a hologram television for them to view the fallen clips that they are very used to by now.
5th - Jared Luminel, killed by Seraph Sinclair.
4th - Lola Liu, killed by Apricot Thompson.
3rd - Apricot Thompson, killed by Everest McKinley.

long live â fallen reaction â os
Jared chipped away some of the wood on the house and started a fire with the use of one of his matches. He woke up sometime at the early evening and tended to his wounds again, making sure they were bandaged and cleaned properly. Upon hearing his stomach growl, he turned to the meat he extracted from the human-scorpion mutts from earlier. Either starve to death or resort to cannibalism... the Capitol wasnât leaving him much of an option.
After much deliberation, the blonde stabbed a pointed stick through the meat and roasted them over the fire. Not used to cooking, Jared burned his potential meals a couple of times but eventually got the hang of it and started eating. He drank the last of his water and tried to avoid the cameras that were sure to be focused at him. A royal turned cannibal. Could he be anymore degraded?Â
Pre-Finale Update
"Charlie, that really hurts!"Â ( â )
I had to kill Charlie with my own hands... then I traveled to another house (B) There was a treasure chest with nothing inside it.
Scorpion King ( â )
Fought three human-scorpion mutts. Almost gang-banged, killed them all. Their venom was harvested and so was their meat... would I be a cannibal if I eat it? Fixed my injuries and rested.
Notes: That night, I hear the cannons fire. There are only five of us left. Soon there will only be one, and I plan to make sure thatâs me.Â

Of course. They werenât to give him anything unless he fought for it. Having been served whatever his heart desired on a silver platter all his life, Jared was going to have to get used to working for what he needs in the Arena.
Upon seeing the mutant human-scorpion creatures, it only took a minute before the royal found himself shrouded in darkness once again. âI donât think Iâve ever been in a foursome before. Canât say I want to anytime soon.â As he heard them approaching closer, Jared drew his longsword and reached into his golden coloured backpack to grab hold of his heat-sensing binoculars. He saw one of the figures charge and he leaped to the side to avoid one of their attack, only to be stabbed by another stinger on his abdomen.

Inside the house, you see nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, the only thing that is present is a treasure chest located in the center of the room.Â
Just before Jared entered the house a parachute immediately falls down on the blonde. Tears formed in his eyes as he read the note, assuring him that his mother was doing okay. He gently stuffed the food into his backpack and walked inside. There didnât seem to be any sand hands, scorpions or other monstrosities. He made his way over to the treasure chest and opened it to see what was inside.

Jaredâs eyes slowly fluttered open. Grogginess and fatigue was all over his system. It was his first night alone, and he didnât feel too comfortable not having his allies keeping watch while he slept. He missed Everestâs keen senses that were able to pick up any trace of danger near them. The blonde regretted yelling at him and he wished things didnât have to turn out the way they did.
On another note, he hasnât showered in days and he desperately wanted to wash away the foulness of the Arena off his body. One had to wonder how people can watch Tributes that havenât bathed since they left the Capitol, fight each other. He reached to grab his hand mirror but noticed his backpack wasnât there, nor was he cocooned comfortably in his sleeping bag anymore. âWho dares steal a royalâs items?!â He growled and realized his sword was nowhere to be found.
Even after rubbing his eyes, Jared still couldnât see clearly. The room looked extremely different from the one he took shelter in during the night, and it had a strange eerie glow along with ghostly noises. He scrunched his nose at an odd smell and got up to his feet. Jared hoped to get out as soon as possible and catch the thief that stole his belongings.
Cautiously taking a few steps, Jared still couldnât find an exit. Before he could walk any further, a hand grabbed him and stopped the royal dead on his tracks. Turning around, his eyes widened immediately after seeing the Tribute that his ally and him killed two days ago. âCh-Charlie?â Jared began to shake. He was still so⌠beautiful. Rosy cheeks, pink lips, blonde hair⌠not at all like the boy whose face was smashed before his cannon fired. However, those crystal green eyes Jared was so fond of were now bloodshot red with tears.
âHe killed me, Jared⌠and you didnât do anything about it! I thought you said you said you really like me? I guess not enough to keep me alive?!â There was a mixture of fury and despair in his tone.
Arena Day 3
Summary: First we ran away from branches that tried to molest us. Then we fought a dragon and got three weapons made of solid diamond, a royalâs best friend I might add. After that, Everest and I fought. So he divorced me and Seraph but not before I kissed the sexy mountain man. I was always attracted to him. He also threw me again. The alliance between me and Seraph didnât last long. I headed east back to the desert island and she went back to the cave. I'm currently staying at the village house my former alliance and I slept in on the first day
Injuries: Chest gash, concussion, broken hip bone, wrist cut, shoulder stab wound. (All treated and healing slowly)
Items: Golden colored backpack, sleeping bag, binoculars, gold necklace, hand mirror, wolf pelt, diamond breastplate, lemonade bottle filled with melted snow, deceit food, crown ring.
Weapons: Longsword, empty syringe.
Eaten: Wolf meat and drank melted snow.
Location: Desert village house (G)
au revoir (not) â departure â os
âWait⌠Iâm going back to the cave,â Seraph stated firmly, stopping before they get any further away.
The blonde was shocked to hear this. âI thought you wanted to go East?âÂ
She shook her head. âYou can go⌠sorry, but this alliance wonât work as good as I thought it would. A rebel and a loyalist? I donât think so, Mayor Luminel.â Her eyes glared daggers at the the royal, assuring him that she means business.Â
âFine with me~ Youâre right. The Capitol wouldnât want a devoted servant of President Brandt with someone who fought against him.â Jared confirmed nonchalantly and turned around. âIâm guessing I wonât be seeing you soonâŚâ As they walked their separate ways, he couldnât help but smirk. Seraph was no longer anywhere near him as she made her way back to the cave. âGood luck surviving⌠And I have a feeling Iâll be seeing you real soon. As a face in the sky!â
Lane Boy > Seraph & Jared
Everest was gone and the cave was silent once more. Tension still lingered in the air, weaker but still present. One person leaving wasnât going to clear it. It wasnât the cave, though. Seraph got the feeling it would follow them wherever they went.
âCanât grow attached to him, you know,â Seraph said, eyes remaining on the caveâs entrance that Everest had left through. âLetting him go this once, but will kill him if an opportunity arises. Same goes for you when we go separate ways. You are a means to an end.â Her eyes flicked to meet Jaredâs, face stoney and cast by shadows. âNothing more.â
She picked up her machete, any remaining things that belonged to her. âThink we should head East. Before the night is through.â It was less a suggestion and more a direction. She wasnât up for a discussion, or even worse, an argument. Theyâd had enough of that for the day.
Eyes fixed on the ground, head down, Jared didnât say a word since Everest left. He felt guilty for causing strife within their group. All three of them were doing so well together. But closeness can kill just as good as conflict. It would be harder in the end, knowing that there can only be one of them leaving the Arena alive.
Thankfully Seraph wasnât the type of person to make bonds with others. She was the type of ally that Jared needed. He looked at her when she began to talk. âYeah, I know. Same to you,â he replied. âFor now we help each other. But when they time comes... Iâll stop at nothing to win, even if it means having to eliminate those who have gotten me this far. I hope the same goes for you.âÂ
The blonde royal stood up and grabbed his items before walking out of the cave with Seraph. âThat sounds like good idea.â He agreed. Although Jared was more used to giving orders, he didnât mind following them at the moment. âThere wasnât a lot of Tributes in that direction. Itâs the safest place to be right now in terms of a battle.âÂ
Cut You Down > Severed
This wasnât exactly unexpected. Theyâd need to split up eventually, Seraph knew that from the beginning. At least two of them would need to die by the end of all of this. There was never any use getting attached to Jared or Everest, and for the most part, Seraph had succeeded at that. But she still had to look at Everest and realize that she had trusted him more than anybody else in these Games and this may be the last time she will ever see him.
She could approach the situation the same way she had learned from her father when regarding treating wounds: clinical, unemotional. Seraph extracted some venom from the scorpion stinger with an empty syringe, a farewell gift for Everest. She dropped it in her backpack and with that, they were finished sorting through supplies. Sheâd be with Jared now and that could very well end with them at each otherâs throats, but that wasnât something to worry about at the moment. She handed the backpack to Everest, her face like stone, her jaw tight. She lingered there and became increasingly aware of the cameras she knew were taping them, watching them. Before the thought became too much, she hugged Everest, quickly letting go so he wouldnât throw her against a wall.
âGood luck, Everest.â It was the first time sheâd used that term as anything other than a threat.
If mourning over Charlie was the reason why they had to split up, Jared felt a slight pang of guilt. These people actually helped him and he broke them apart just because of his feelings towards someone who was no longer alive. But eventually they would all have to turn on each other, and that was already beginning to happen. The Game Makers wanted conflict, for it was what lead to death. In order to keep their lives, it was best they go their separate ways as soon as possible and not worry about one another anymore.
Everest would be able to survive with no problem. As far as Jared knew, he was better of by himself, especially in an environment he was used to. He drooped his eyes when Seraph hugged Everest. They were close, that much was obvious. It pained him to make her have to leave Everest.Â
The shorter blonde approached Everest, not making eye contact. It would be rude to just make him leave. âIâm sorry. I really am... My bluntness gets the best of me sometimes...â He placed a hand on his shoulder. âI have faith youâll win this, so... might as well get something before I die from a Victor~â He leaned forward and pressed his lips against Everestâs. Oh how shocked Panem will be after seeing that. Good. The Capitol wanted entertainment after all. Well, it didnât end nicely for the royal was once again lifted in the air and thrown a good distance away. âI-Iâll see you later then...â He groaned.

Cut You Down > Severed
Jared flinched and gripped the sword, ready to cut down Everest in an instant. Â There was clearly still unsetteled business regarding Charlieâs death. Â
âWhat now? Â You gonna kill me next?â Â Jared taunted. Â âItâs clearly easy for an animal like you.â Â
âJared. Â Stop.â Â Seraph warned. Â
Everest snarled.  âAnimal.â  He repeated. âYou.  Moron.â Â
âFine, you clearly canât be reasoned with, why donât you just go?â Â
âYes.â Â
Seraph pinched the bridge of her nose. Â âI donât have time for this. Â Everest, if you want to head off on your own, weâre not gonna stop you. Â It was only a matter of time anyways. Â We just need to split up our gear evenly.â
Everest gave a humph and nodded. Â âYes.â Â He stated before snatching the shimmering sword out of Jaredâs hands. Â âMine.â
âYou son of a-â
âJared. Â Just pick another diamond thing. Â Letâs be real, look at him. Â Youâre not getting it back.â Â Seraph demanded. Â
Jared scoffed and picked up the breastplate, affixing it to his chest. Â Seraph leaned down and leaned the diamond shield on the wall near her. Â She tossed the shoes back to Everest and looked down at the rest of their stockpile. Â
âWhatâs next?â
There was probably more than five thousand carats of pure diamond in that golden treasure chest. Handcrafted by masters in the luxury District. Jaredâs eyes sparkled as bright as the rewards themselves. âThis is spectacular! Breaking a few bones was definitely a small price to pay for these. Godâs most precious of stones, simply divine!âÂ
He picked up the diamond sword and swung it around, only to exchange a few hurtful words with the male Tribute from Two. Just when he thought they were going to patch things up, their trust and closeness only deteriorated even more. The whole alliance wasnât going to work out anymore, and their cannons will surely fire if they tried.Â
Befuddled by how the sword was snatched out of his grasp, Jared prepared to attack only to be stopped by Everestâs District Partner. They all agreed to a painful but necessary agreement of splitting up. The royal put on the diamond breastplate and rolled his eyes. âI donât really have much I can give... But Iâm willing to share the rope and a syringe. Plus I have some more of that food, just make sure not to eat it.âÂ
Jared handed the items to his former ally, trying his best not to express sadness for his departure. "Since Iâll be with Seraph, we can share a backpack. Do you mind giving yours to Everest?â He asked.
reconciliation â  arena day 2 â J.E.S./OS
The young monarch held the soldier in his arms, crying uncontrollably at the despicable end of their relationship. His bleeding injuries were of little concern to him at the moment. âIâm sorry... Iâm sorry... Iâm sorry!â He repeated, still unable to comprehend his unfathomable crime. Normally people would be horrified to even be near a faceless corpse, but Jared just couldnât let go of someone he got so close to.
Through his sniffs and silent sobs was the sound of someone coming. Jared turned around. Seraph emerged from the trees. In her hands were twigs and branches that she immediately dropped. âI-I got firewood...â She cringed at the lifeless body in Jaredâs arms. âEugh. Um... whereâs Everest?â Noticing that their third ally was nowhere to be found, she just had to wonder where he was.Â
âI-I yelled at him...â Jared replied. âHe k-k-killed Charlie.â He sounded pathetic stuttering like that, but he couldnât help it. âHeâs a fucking animal,â he spat.Â
Seraph stomped over and slapped the royal hard across his face. âThat fucking animal saved your life countless times before. You could try to be more appreciative.â She sighed, knowing they couldnât afford to have tension within their group. âLook... Iâm sorry about your boyfriend, but it was better him than us, right? Also, I donât have cash for you to wipe your nose and eyes with, so stop crying, will you?âÂ
With shaking hands, Jared got up and let go of Charlie. Seraph was right. He couldnât play the Game using his heart. That would only get him killed. âI-I need to apologize to the big guy...âÂ
âGood idea. And I think your boyfriend would want you to have these,â Seraph nodded at the extra longsword and rope, as well as the dead wolves that Charlie has killed earlier. She grabbed the weapon and one slaughtered creature before following the footsteps in the snow she assumed were her District Partnerâs.
Jared walked behind her with two dead wolves and Charlieâs rope in his hands. It wasnât long before they found Everest crouching down and leaning against a tree. Upon noticing a familiar presence, he rushed over and lifted the blonde royal in the air. âNot moron!â Everest growled and threw Jared. Thankfully the blanket of snow was enough to break his fall.
âO-okay...â Jared groaned. âI deserve that...â
âEverest, thatâs enough.â Â Seraph warned. Â âWeâre alive, youâre not a moron, thatâs that.â
Everest stepped around her and faced Jared. Â âWhy?â Â
Jared looked up solemnly. Â âHe was my friend.â
âFriend.â Â Everest repeated. Â He grunted and snagged Charlieâs sword from Jaredâs hand. Â âFriend no hurt.â
It was a silent walk back as the three bundled up in the wolf pelts and followed Seraph back to the igloo she constructed during the fight. Â
As they warmed themselves by the fire, using their third match, Jared slowly bandaged himself up in his wrist, chest, and shoulder. Â
Seraph attended to Everestâs wounds, slowly but surely with her arm. Â Everest wore a blank expression as he picked the teeth free from the dead wolves, handing them to Seraph to use later. The crafty female from Two then made them wolf fur coats that should serve as extra insulation and saved the meat for the next day. Â
They shared a meal from the buns gathered earlier that day, and sat in silence as they emptied a bottle of lemonade from the village, filling it up with snow and melted it over the fire to drink. Â Though the boys still hurt in their wounds, they were lucky to be alive and with full stomachs, for they had no idea what horrors awaited them and Seraph the following day.
