The Twin Gods of the multiverse
when the first idea was ever had by the first proto-human, the two came to be, the concepts of existence and of non-existance
the notions of what is and isn't there
the path to follow and the one to avoid
these two forces are opposite, but both needed
Fate made everything exist, and Nothing kept it from overwhelming everything, and so the multiverse came to be
they both had their places in the balance of existence, but Fate started to overtake the Nothing, as it expanded into new timelines and concepts and people
and so it fought back, corroding those notions and concepts and people.
however, the existing beings would not stand there and take it, so they formed an alliance of heroes to stop the rot
fighting back, the Nothing made its own heroes from darkness, and they fought. through space and time, magic and technology, living and dying, by the silk and song of Fate they fought, believing their cause to be the most noble
but the battles only brought ruin to both sides, and as death and destruction grew larger than life and existence, Fate completely restored the multiverse to its original, blank state
this birthed a cycle; Fate reigned, Nothing fought back, heroes rose, thr darkness grew stronger, and everything reset.
a cycle repeated over incalculable eons, so many times the reason for the imbalance wad forgotten by the forces themselves
...could someone remind them of it..?
in the current Iteration of existence, the forces have avatars and kingdoms in opposite layers of the multiversal lasagna, Fate's Heaven being home to the Children of Fate, a species of beings that embody the most fundamental aspects of every living being in existence, in every timeline, and is also where
The Child of Fate resides.
and in the darkest depths of it all, in the lowest layer, lies the land of the forgotten, of beings whose existence is thoroughly erased, even past the Down-Below. the Nowhere. a dead, gray, monochromatic kingdom in a constant state of ruin, the cries of the nonexistent ringing through its eerily empty fields.
searching only for destruction and death, the Abyss will stop at nothing to break the cycle of rebirth.
well, it wouldn't have stopped if it hadn't been turned into a lil baby child.
Abby is the super multiversal devil.
when it arose, one the current heroes, Misally Ra, went to Fate's Heaven to look for answers on how to break the cycle on a non-multiversal-destroying way, and Fate gave them a spell!
Misally was super excited to use it, and as they are the child of a god and trained with extremely powerful magic users their whole life, was able to cast it!
Misally did not know the spell would turn the Abyss into a child.
Abby is Abyss, no buts, the only difference is the severely dampened power and the hazy memories, as well as getting tired, hungry, thirsty, all of that.
welp, let's see how this pans out!
