the thing about being someone whoâs never catcalled is that you start to wonder why like is it because im ugly???
and then you realize that youre judging your worth by whether or not you are objectifiable to a man and thats so fucked up like honestly its so fucked upÂ
but the worst part about the patriarchy is that it still sits at the back of your mind regardless like ânobody thinks youre pretty because they dont see you as a sex objectâ like somehow thats a desirable thing and it fucks me up

From someone whoâs survived MySpace, livejournal, deviantart, and fanfiction.netsâ content purges and bad policy updates, hereâs some advice on how to get through tumblrâs recent bullshit:
- donât knee jerk delete. I know itâs tempting to peace out immediately but hang on and do the other steps first. Out right ghosting and erasing everything is how fandoms die.
- archive everything on your blog you want to keep
- tell your followers how they can archive and keep your work too. A lot of fic and art were only saved from ff.net and lj because other people saved it first. If youâre cool with other people saving your work for them to personally keep, let them know this. You can absolutely discourage reposting but I really do highly recommend you allow people to personally save fic and art they like and are worried will disappear forever. Digital Dark Ages are a real thing.
- tell people where youâre jumping ship to. Give links. Keep that info up, even if youâve left the site.
- go through who you follow and find out where else you can follow them. Save their work if theyâll allow it. Itâs tedious as hell but if you want to keep up with people on here clicking on their page to check in is the best way to do it.
- support places like ao3. This is exactly why ao3 asks for donations a few times a year. They are a 100% anti-purging, judgement free, ad free non profit run by an elected board and protected by lawyers. Places like ao3 literally save fandom so please continue to support them and other similar archives. This is exactly why ao3 is so important.
For example, hereâs a post that explains and links for how to back up your blog
Also, go read the source policies and official Tumblr statements in addition to user analyses and reactions. Itâs important to keep abreast of developments over time; staying informed is your power in this situation. Memes and reaction posts are funny and are a useful way to vent / provide commentary, but some of them create an inaccurate picture of whatâs happening and should not be taken as evidence on their own of what developments have happened.
Hold on! I canât remember this moment, this beautiful and painful makes-me-gasp-and-squeal moment. Can someone tell me which episode this is, so I can watch it in context? Because it looks like he wants to kiss her. Like heâs leaning in to kiss her. Tilting his head slightly. And sheâs stopping him. And itâs killing me.
No no, not Shattered. Itâs a memorial for one of the MaquisâŚ.let me thinkâŚAh yes, Alliances, 2x14. This is Kurt Benderaâs memorial, a close friend of Chakotay.
Okay, okay. Thank you! Looks like I just overreacted. Again.
Donât ever apologize for (over-)reacting in fandom!
This is what we are here for, isnât it?
Letâs just overreact together. Iâve squealed many a times, when I discovered some shipper moment only because someone else mentioned it. ;)
I just feel like a whole lot of us need some friendly support and a couple Captain Janeway hugs right now.

FUCKING THIS
now, lemme say a thing:
unlike a lot of angry folks, i have no real problem with people who have cultivated their assets over a few generations and have a million or two in property and investments. thatâs something you can actually do with hard work, time, and enough luck that medical surprises or other misfortune doesnât take it from you. i know actually quite a few families that could pool that much across three generations or a handful of siblings and cousins. thatâs the kind of wealth that gave rise to the story of wealth being the result of hard work and intelligence â because if there are a couple doctors or lawyers in the family, or someone bought IBM stock in the 70â˛s, some attention and elbow grease can give you seven figure results.
which is NOT to say âeveryone can do it, if youâre poor youâre just not tryingâ. there are a lot of factors that go into that, and a lucky start is the biggest one. in america, abled whites get that lucky start a lot more than everyone else, and yadda yadda you know the rest.
but the point is, people with like 1.5 million, or 4 million, can end up there by taking advantage of their luck and applying work to it over decades. if thatâs what their priority is, of course. so i donât look at someone with a lake house and an investment portfolio and instantly think EVIL BAD. i think: i donât really agree with their priorities and we probably wouldnât get along socially, but the instinct to grow your familyâs prosperity is universal, and iâm not going to condemn them without evidence of wrongdoing.
ok, that said?
the ultra-rich?
the billionaires? the hundreds-of-billions-aires?
monstrous.
you cannot cultivate money like that. you cannot grow it as a family project. it starts with an absurd windfall, and then you grow it through crimes compounding upon crimes. crimes against humanity, if not crimes by the law. you acquire billions by making money your god, and flushing your soul down the toilet.
âThe rich would strip you for parts if they could.â So true.
This New Orleans Cosmetics Mogul Made $1 Million In 90 Minutes
Ms. Raynell Steward, better known as Wuzzam Supa or Supa_Cent on Instagram has helped us laugh with her comedy skits, throw down in the kitchen with her cooking videos, and level up with her inspirational posts about hustling smarter instead of harder.
This New Orleans native took the exposure from her viral Vine and Instagram videos but also her leap of faith and started her business in 2017: a cosmetics line inspired by school supplies. She is now known as the entrepreneur who sold $1 million worth of her products in 90 minutes on Cyber Monday 2018, sending her supporters into a frenzy and leaving her speculators confused, asking: Harpo, who is dis Supa woman?
Ironically enough, The Crayon Case is a line that is dedicated to amateur makeup artists, and if you are an avid follower of Supa, you wonât be surprised to see her uploading various videos of her impromptu makeup tutorials filled with tips and suggestions.
As with most entrepreneurs, her road to this newfound success was not easy, unlike some who covered this yearâs Forbes list with a false âself-madeâ title (side eye). Nonetheless, Supa has made sure to share her obstacles and experiences along the way to help other women who are reluctant to start investing in their dreams and essentially, boss up. Supa shares: âY'all be underestimating yourselves. If something is poppinâ - it donât matter who made it, who created - if itâs poppinâ, b*itch they gonâ see it.â
Supa was correct about her creativeness being noticed, as Crayola approached the CEO about her designs and how they closely resembled those of the branded crayons. Supa responded by immediately stopping production and changing her designs, even asking for the mega brandâs approval of her revisions. To her surprise, shortly after Crayola debuted their own cosmetic line that bared a shocking resemblance to Supaâs products. She explains:
âThey have the right to tell me âb*itch take that off, thatâs my sh*itâ so we changed it with no problem, so I understand. I infringed their brand first, so why can I be mad at them for seeing some sh*t is poppin'⌠Iâm not about to poke no bear. Iâm not about to go [to] them and say, âYou stole my shit, Iâm taking you to court,â b*tch no! Those people could have sued meâŚand they didnât. So why would I go sue those people for something they rightfully could do?â
Supa took her âLâ like a champ, and learned as a lesson in how important it is to really invest in trademarking and researching thoroughly before debuting any new products. The incident was just a slight stumble on her road to success, as she was able to bring her story to the 2018 Essence Music Festival stage this past summer, solidifying her status as a hometown hero.
The quality of Supaâs products precedes her larger than life social media personality and existence in the virtual beauty world, as she really spent a lot of time perfecting her products. Being a darker hue of brown, Supa kept high pigment and longevity of the products in mind, specifically The Crayon Case âishadowâ palette.
Supaâs products are fun, fresh, and affordable with the hit sold out Crayon Casepalette being priced at $30 and the 7-piece pencil shadow brush set to match at $18.
Supa is a 30-year-old CEO and mother of a young son, awaiting the arrival of her daughter with her supportive fiance, and has worked over 15 jobs in her hometown before quitting her job as a waitress and following her dreams. Some may call her an overnight success, however, supporters of Supa know the hard work and dedication she has put into this victory. In her own words, she shares:
âDonât hate on yourself. Along your journey, many people will tell you what you canât and what shouldnât do. Donât be that person to yourself.â
