He did this by suspending chloroplasts in a mixture made out of silk protein. He believed it can be used for many things but the most striking one is the thought that it could be used for long distance space travel. S3Ep11 “Q and the Grey” or “Hey Q is back and he has a wife. Also the civil war bc why not!” It is a good time to remind everyone that one guy designed all the costumes in TNG, DS9, & Voyager. For most of that time he was doing 2 shows at a time. Robert Blackman and his impressive range in costuming shines in this episode. And Janeway looks great in everything so that probably made his job a little easier.

S1Ep8 “Ex Post Facto” or “Tom gets framed for murder by a lady who is apparently part bird?” Season 1 was weird, y’all. They were figuring stuff out and probably working with a pretty tight budget. Still they managed to pull off a pretty fun little episode. Kind of had a old Hollywood film noire kind of vibe.

S3Ep5 “False Profits” or “The Ferengi from that wormhole on TNG Season 3 like lots of underboob” Maybe once Voyager sends them home these ladies can put on real clothes if they want. These outfits are pretty amazing though. Robert Blackman was nominated for an Emmy for this episode.
