Janelle's World

Ian couldn’t argue with the fact that he was a pushover, he couldn’t help it when it came to his girls. “I can afford to be this way because I have such a strong wife, that teaches our girls how to be strong women, so therefore I can be a pushover.” He laughed and nodded, hearing what Janelle was saying, everything she was saying was so true, without the love and support they had for one another, they never would have made it. “That’s so true baby, I am so glad you gave me a chance those many years ago.”

"Aww... Baby, I love when you say that. It's such a turn on." Janelle teased, kissing her husband on the cheek. She really couldn't picture a life without Ian. He was the love of her life and the thought of their first meeting made her smile. "Baby, you knew I was smitten by those sexy blue eyes the minute I saw you." She said, rubbing his chest. "I was only playing hard to get. I mean, what straight woman wouldn't be attracted to you? I wasn't blind..." She giggled before finishing her glass. She saw Mercedes and Sam talking to a few guest and decide that it was time to make their presence known. "Come on, baby, I see my sister and Sam. Let's go say this to them." She tugged at his hand and led him along towards her sister and Sam.

“I don’t think you’re the mean one baby, I’m just a easy target, the girls know they can get whatever they want from me, I’m a pushover.” Ian laughed and took a sip of his drink. “That’s exactly my point, we both worked so hard so we can provide for our family, and why not reap what we sowed into our business. Just think about how we started the agency from nothing, and now look at us, agencies in New York, LA, Milan and Paris, with one opening in Thailand this year. I say we made our mark in this industry, and we did it the right way too, with all types of models. That’s something I’m really proud of.”  

"You're a pushover that's for sure." Janelle reiterated, but not unkindly. She placed a kiss on his cheek and listen to him talk about their booming business. She was really proud of the empire they had made. It took a lot of hard work for them to get to this place, but they managed it. "We couldn't have gone this far if we weren't supportive of each other. I'm glad that we were able to work hand in hand. It goes to show how good we are together." She smiled. "I'm so proud of us."

“No they don’t babe!” Ian stated in his most innocent voice, “Our children love us equally.” He chuckled and grabbed two glasses of a champagne, “Here you go baby.” He handed her a flute, “I know the kids will love the big party we throw them, but that’s because they deserve it. Graduation is a big deal, and it needs to be celebrated. I mean we worked so hard for everything we got for our family, so why not splurge on them.” He shrugged his shoulders and smirked.

"I beg to differ. They love you more. If they need something, they always suck up to you, no one tries to suck up to me because I'm the mean one." Janelle laughed, accepting the champagne from her husband. "You're right about the party though. Our modeling agency is doing so well, we could afford to give our kids a nice graduation party." She smiled at him and took a sip from her flute.

"My brother in law is a lavish man, how could we even be surprised by this?" Janelle said as she took in her surroundings. "You're going to spoil the hell out of our kids. Oh wait, you already do!" She gasped before letting out a laugh. "I'm sure they appreciate it though. They always love you more because you spoil them."

That was the response Ian loved to get, and that’s why this was such an easy decision. He enjoyed every second of the kiss his wife laid on him. “I totally understand, and I think we’ve been here long enough. We enjoyed London, and everywhere else we visited, but like Dorothy said, there’s no place like home.” He agreed, “That’s fine with me, I think that’s the best way to wake her up.” What Janelle did next surprised, yet excited him, “And that’s how a wife welcomes her husband home from work.” He threw his head back and enjoyed his wife’s appreciation, and soon he gave it right back to her.

This was the easiest decision Ian ever had to make, anything to see that smile that was on Janelle’s face right now, he was going to do. He pulled her in his arms, “I’m very sure, if I get to see that smile on yours and Cassie faces, then I know it’s the right thing to do.” He kissed her back, “I told you when we moved here, that if you ever wanted to go home, just say the word, and I meant that baby. You know I would do anything for you Nelly.” He smiled, “So when are we going to tell Cassie we’re moving?” He smirked.

The smile on Janelle's face couldn't be wiped off, she was so happy that Ian was agreeing to do this. "Thank you!" She jumped into his lap, and kissed him breathless. "That's definitely the answer that I wanted to hear. I liked being overseas and seeing the world, but there's nothing like being home, and right now, I just want to be home." She kissed him again, "I say we tell Cassie that we're moving as soon as she's awake, but we still have time before that happens, and I know what we should do while we wait." She smirked, wiggled brows and got down on her knees and between Ian's thighs to fill in the time.

Ian smiled at how excited Janelle was about the opportunity of moving back, but as usual, his selfless wife always thought about everybody else first. He shook his head, “Baby, I’m a photographer, and I can take pictures from anywhere, so I can make California our home base. And I’m sure Cassie would love to be closer to her grandparents and cousins. You’re not the only one missing family. Did you see how hard it was for Cassie when we left the last time? I think it would be easy to convince her to move back to California.”

Janelle perked up, she couldn't believe that Ian was willing to move to California. "You really think that we can do that? You know that I would do anything to go back to California, and Cassie's two, I'm sure that she would be over the moon to be able to be around my parents again. They spoil her to death." She kissed Ian sweetly, "So you're sure about this? I want you to be absolutely sure before we make this decision."

“You were and are cute.” Ian smirked, and kissed her cheek. He could hear the sadness in her voice, and he hated to hear that. He wasn’t going to push her to tell her what she wished for, and when she finally did, he nodded, “Well why can’t we? I always told you that I’m happy when you’re happy, so if you would be happier in California, then we really need to consider moving back. We always said that we wanted to go back to the States eventually, so why not start making that move?” He wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

In the perfect world, Janelle would be living in California close to her family with the man that she loved and their perfect little girl, but she knew that she couldn't demand that, because this was not all about her. Ian surprised her however, he told her that they should go back if it would make her happy. "Baby, I love you for it, but what about your job? I can't just think about me. We are a family now, we have a daughter to raise. We have to think of her too, and our future children."

Ian listened to Nelly talking about Mercedes, and he could see and feel that she was feeling a little homesick, and he understood that, because he felt the same way. “Mercedes was an adorable baby, but so were you, look at that smile. You still look the same now.” He chuckled, and then frowned when she stopped her thoughts, and started focusing on his day, “No, no. we are not going to talk about my day, or Cassie, until I find out what my beautiful wife wishes.” He looked her square in the eye, waiting for her to speak.

"I was cute too, but I always thought that Mercedes was adorable. The moment she was born, I knew that she was going to be my best sister best friend." Janelle laughed at the term of endearment that she had made up. Ian wanted to know what she wished for and she sighed before finally admitting the truth, "I wish we could move back to the States. My sister is in California again, and I want to be back there with her, but it's not all about what I want, so I'm not going to complain." She kissed him sweetly and cuddled up to him again.

Ian had a long day today, and all he wanted to do was get home to his beautiful wife, and lay his head in her lap. That was one of his favorite things to do when he had a hard day, because Nelly would make all his stresses go away. He walked in and saw Nelly going through some boxes, “Hey baby, what you got there.” He sat next to her, and kissed her sweetly, before looking at the pictures she was looking at, “Awww, look at you and Mercedes, you guys were so cute. When was the last time you talked to her?” 

Janelle smiled when Ian kissed her, she was always happier when he was around, but lately, she had been wondering if they should return home to be closer to their families. "I always thought that Mercedes was so beautiful when we were kids. She had the cute chubby cheeks. I miss those days... I wish- Never mind what I wish..." She smiled before moving into Ian's arm, "How was your day, baby? Cassie's down for a nap, she should be up to greet daddy in an hour or so."
