Spring into Healthy Changes
With Spring here, Iām inspired to eat lighter and make some healthy changes. My husband recently switched from drinking coffee to green tea every morning. Ā Heās been singing the praises for weeks ā āI donāt crash in the afternoon! Ā I sleep better! Iām less stressed!ā Ā Anecdotal, I know. Ā These are all good things, so I decided to give green tea a try.
I admit that I have been a faithful double shot of espresso kind of girl for years and am not crazy about tea. However, I do love smoothies because they are a great way to get whole foods into your diet in one shot. Ā
What if we put green tea in a smoothie? Ā Hereās a smoothie recipe that combines green tea, DOLEĀ® Pineapple Juice, frozen DOLE strawberries, and vanilla Greek yogurt. Ā Sounds incredibly healthy, if you ask me. Ā Lots of polyphenols, a boost of vitamin C, satiating protein, and delicious fruity flavor in one smoothie. Ā Itās been a great way to kick off the morning and have sustained energy during the day.
