Not quite Brokers Tip, but....
I wondered about this after seeing the replays of the Derby. I had bet the 11 WP so it cost me some money. I figured that the owner, trainer, and jockey of the 11 were all Japanese and didn't want to ruffle any feathers by claiming foul, but they for sure had a case.
The 2 had been bearing in almost the length of the stretch and carried the 11 about four paths in towards the rail. It would've been an easy conclusion that it affected the placings.
