A little #mondaymotivation from the John Day River in Oregon.

The John Day River – one of the nation’s longest free-flowing rivers – is 284 miles long and undammed along its entire length. Elevations range from 265 feet at the confluence with the Columbia River to over 9,000 feet at the headwaters in the Strawberry Mountain Range.  And the lower river carves many spectacular bends in a deep canyon.

Visit John Day River for spectacular views and great recreation opportunities, from fishing and hiking to snowmobiling and skiing. Something for everyone!

if you notice, there is a vestigal, third finger. Also note that the two fingers that we do see are analogous to a human’s thumb and index finger.
