The First Feature Film about Landscaping
So this just popped up: a Kickstarter for "The First Feature Film about Landscaping", starring James as the eponymous "Fish".
Fish is an offbeat comedy about 19-year-old Dustin, who moves to the outskirts of Austin, Texas, after a rough breakup. Seeking a fresh start, he moves in with his dad and is quickly drawn into a ragtag crew of hard-drinking, tough-love landscapers. Among them is Fish, a charismatic storyteller, Pabst Beer drinker, and yard artist who takes Dustin under his wing. Through embellishments of wealth and women, Fish projects a "life is good” image. As Dustin adjusts to his new life, he meets a young woman named Zoe. They explore the town and start to date but as secrets are revealed, Dustin begins to question the validity of Fish's facade of wealth and women. As conflict arises, Dustin realizes he must face his problems head on and cherry pick the kernels of truth out of Fish’s embellished stories to become a better version of himself.
