For all single people or aspec people or anyone who just doesn't like Valentine's Day like me, I thought I'd share that I turned Valentine's into my treating myself day (even on Valentine's Days where I'm seeing somebody). Not that you shouldn't treat yourself whenever but it's nice to redirect all that Valentine's energy and use it to make myself happy, instead of feeding into the whole weird atmosphere of shame around people who don't celebrate it "properly". Instead I'll smell flowers at the store and snack on chocolate and dye my hair that color I've been eyeing and buy that thing I've been wanting because I deserve it. Self love is important too whether you're in a romantic relationship this time of year or not
