FULL NAME: jacob michael sullivan

“the chopper? amateur.” teddy teased, his hand swirling the straw around his soda since he wasn’t legally or professionally allowed to drink. “stay up a bit later and you start getting wonder bra ads and those are my absolute favorite. they just prance around for forty-five minutes talking about how amazing this thing is when it’s just a glorified sports bra from wal-mart.”

“it’s pretty awesome, actually.” he shook his head, looking up from his drink in front of him. “i’m not sure i could handle that. i can’t deal with all that movement at one time. that’s forty five minutes too much for my brain.” he shrugged off the thought. “you can buy any of those products at walmart but the ads make it seem like it’s just exclusive to that commercial. buy it right now or die kind of thing.” 

“Maybe I’m into that kind of shit,” Jack grinned. “What about you? You like to be tied up or do you like to do the tying,” he teased. Jackson moved over to where the man was sitting. “I’m Jackson, but you can call me Jack. What’s a pretty boy like you doing here alone?”

“i can see that. you look like someone that’s into kinky shit. so maybe he’s totally right for you.” jake shrugged. “i can’t say i’ve tried all of that. unless you count that one time.” he wasn’t going to go into that but there was a moment he could remember. he let his eyes roll as the blonde move closer. not that he was upset about it. “i’m jake.” he raised his eyebrow. “what makes you think i’m going to be alone all night?” he was definitely alone. literally no one was coming to hang out with him but the other didn’t need to know that. “i mean, i am pretty enough to keep someone interested.”

“Two mile run in the morning and gym six days a week. Not to mention football practice is starting up soon.” Vance rambled off, his tone suggesting maybe he was irritated, but you know, it was always hard to tell with him. “I just don’t have time to do anything fun right now. I haven’t been ignoring you.” 

the thought of constantly working out made jake’s insides twist. it physically pained him to think about all of that. he was never the sports guy. though, some might think so with his physique. he shook his head at the other, lifting a hand to rub the stubble on his face. “i wasn’t saying you were ignoring me. i was simply saying that you look like you need a break. clearly that’s not a word you know.” he shrugged, balancing himself on his heels. 

“It’s sad that I’m not even exaggerating.” Ophelia sighed as she flashed the other a half assed smile. Despite being in town for a few months now, she still didn’t know nearly anyone. Her gaze drifted to the red bus and a small smile tugged at the corner of her lips. The sight of her speckled little man sitting in the window waiting for her was enough to satisfy her. “Yeah, I built it myself. Well, it’s not just mine. It’s ours.” She noted as she made her way to the window where her cat sat, gently tapping the window. “You want to come inside and get the tour? I gotta feed Nightfury.”

“screw people and their bull shit, though.” he glanced at the bus once more then shook his head. people were really terrible if you think about it. he shoved his hands in his pockets, glancing to the window and waving to the cat. “i thought you were going to say ours like ‘everyone on the planet’ or something. i didn’t know what to think.” he wasn’t sure who she was or how long she had the bus but he didn’t care, either. it was chill. “sure, i’d like to see how you changed up an old, boring bus.” 

A single brow raised at the other’s words, and honestly? Milo wasn’t even sure if the other was speaking to him until his gaze met the other’s. “Infomercials save my life sometimes.” Milo said with a lopsided smile, his head cocking to the side as his fingertip ran along the edge of the glass. “Honestly, I have to pull long nights sometimes and I let them run in the background. The chopper is nice, but I still think life alert commercials are the best. It’s sick but seeing that old lady laying on the floor screaming she’s fallen and can’t get up? Gets me every time.”

jake was too busy thinking about how good his drink felt going down his throat to worry about who he was speaking with. he smiled to the other as he heard him speak, nodding a bit. “that one is a classic but the chopper and that bottle nozzle are the best. who the fuck drops drinks like that? it’s ridiculous. literally no one is that clumsy.” his head shook, glancing at the other once more. “i can’t say i could listen to them all the time. it would make me lose focus too often.”

She was on her way back to her home after running a few errands. In one hand a small white plastic bag with cat food and a few frozen dinners, in the other a large slushy with various colors after she went a little too wild at the slushy machine in the gas station. As she walked, though, she noticed someone standing beside the bus she had slowly transformed into her house. “Don’t tell me I stole your parking spot or something. I think I’ve had to move like six times in the past week.”

with the township schools being out, jake was a little surprised to see a bus in the parking lot near his house. he thought about churches having field trips and what not so it kind of made sense but not really. he shrugged it off, moving to check it out until he heard a voice behind him. the person moving close to him didn’t seem like a bus rider but people surprised him every day. “six times? people are pushy around here.” he took in the surroundings. “this is yours?” 

“There’s only so much time in a day, I would spend all of it trying to get your number,” Jackson winked at the waiter who brought him his third beer. It was almost five o’clock, so who cared? It wasn’t like he was a kid any more. He turned to look at the group of kids on a double date at the table next to him, “You think I’ve got a chance with him?”

such a cringe worthy line said by the other male made jake’s face contour with distaste. even a few tables over, he couldn’t handle listening to such a lame line. he shook his head, drinking from his own glass, ignoring everyone else around him as he turned his head towards the night. he wasn’t sure how he found himself in a bar right now but it was summer. who cares? “with that guy? no, he looks more like a tie me up, one night stand, kind of guy. yikes.”
