jake shook his head as he agreed with what she said, even though he didn't understand anything about coffee. it could be harder than rocket science, but he just agreed. “same thing about sandwiches with no ham or ... chicken. meat is also important...”

Was Zara still drunk from the night before? Maybe a little, but she had class and needed to function. Walking through campus in jeans and an old Gamma Zeta tee shirt, the girl wore sunglasses to cover her bloodshot eyes. It had been a long night, and Zara only slept maybe three hours. Checking her phone, she bumped into someone, dropping her coffee. “Shit, watch it,” Zara snapped, pulling her sunglasses up and raising her eyebrows.
bumping into the other, jake stepped back until he recognized zara. a smile grew on his lips as he saw it was her wearing sunglasses. the other night was wild, but having a few hours of sleep was something he was used to. “so sorry ma'am," he said with a quick laugh. “let me buy you a cup of coffee. after all, these sunglasses fool no one.”
