Most people probably would have been annoyed by his pretty negative attitude when it came to stuff like this stupid festival but somehow she didnât even seemed to mind it. On the contrary, there even was a smile appearing on her lips. âThe only person who tells me what I should do, is myself!â, he still insisted, never having been someone who liked being told what to do. âBesides, what the hell is fun about walking through some corn maze, where they basically want you to get lost, if you could simply walk around it..?!â, the male countered. It was certainly something heâd never get but apparently most other people around here actually seemed to think it was fun.
Lucy rolled her eyes at him playfully, shaking her head at his pessimism. It was something that she had gotten used to, being overly optimistic all the time came with this kind of a reaction, especially in Halloweentown. âOkay fine, be a negative nelly. Thatâs fine,â she shrugged, smirking at him as she pressed her lips together. âAre you going to the Halloween ball?â she asked, tilting her head. âI just got my dress, Iâm going as a princess,â she paused, biting the inside of her lip. âWe should go... together, you and me.â

Alice couldnât help but frown a little at the younger witches words, quickly covering it up with her signature warm smile. âWell of course if you ever need a break from here you are also welcome to come by the shopâ Alice reaches out her hand again to give Lucyâs arm another comforting squeeze âI know my little flower shop isnât anything exciting but itâs always welcome to you.â
âThanks, Alice,â Lucy nodded, a small smile on her face. She knew her mother was just trying to protect her, that leaving had scared the older witch half to death, but that didnât mean Lucy liked being watched all the time. âOh stop it, you know I love coming into your shop.â
He probably should have been more careful - the last thing Denver wanted was to be kept even further away from his best friend, but he couldnât help it - watching his volume had never been one of his strong suits. He just beamed at her as she cast a spell, shaking his head.
âIâm clearly just making sure youâve got your spells in order, you know that,â he was already wiggling with anticipation, his eagerness nearly contagious.  âWell, of course - Halloweentown has only had my pretty face to look at for so long, itâs dying to get a look at someone else for a change of pace.â He slid down off the window, placing his feet firmly on the ground before turning back to Lucy.  âBesides, I can always just cast a glamour to make it seem like youâve been here the whole time if push comes to shove.â
âYeah yeah,â Lucy rolled her eyes at him, going over to her closet. While there was a lot she had missed during her year away from Halloweentown, Denver had been at the top of that list. He was her best friend, her partner in crime, and on nights when she needed someone to talk to she contemplated popping back home just to get his thoughts.
Picking an outfit, she tugged her shirt off and pulled on the dress, then taking off her pajama shorts. âYou know, itâs a pity you and I are just friends. Weâd have beautiful children,â she teased him, grabbing her bag and running her fingers through her hair. She tugged on shoes and cast a quick spell, making it appear she was in bed. âThat should do it, letâs go.â
âItâll still be good for you to get out of hereâ Alice didnât want to push the subject, but after being trapped in two different covens by her parents she could recognize that same oppression in others. It wasnât her place to intervene, but sheâd support where she could. âIf your friends canât make it then you are free to come and give me a hand at my boothâ The witch offers with a sincere smile âIâm sure your mother wouldnât mind you helping me.â
Lucy nodded at Aliceâs statement. âAnything to get out of the house,â the blonde chuckled, though it was true. While she loved her mother, being pretty much stuck in the house was a bore. She needed to find a way to get out more. âOh, that sounds fun. Iâll let you know,â she offered Alice a smile, knowing the woman was just trying to help. âThank you.â

âDo we really have to do this?â Emery whined as he was being dragged to the corn maze. He was pouting his lips, giving Lucy his best puppy dog eyes. âI donât trust corn fields. I meanâhave you ever seen Signs? Or were you too young for that?â he added to tease the younger woman. âI-I donât like things popping out at me, okay? Jump scares are the worst part of Halloween.âÂ
Lucy rolled her eyes at Emeryâs complaints, tugging him into the corn maze. It was night time, which made the maze even more fun. Releasing his hand, she turned to face him. âIf you want to be a baby, then youâre free to go, but Iâm heading in,â she crossed her arms over her chest. âBesides, jump scares? Really?â
she had no idea why she was visiting the broom booth, her needs not pertinent to anything they sold. but lyra had been overly curious about it, and after carefully weighing her options, she finally decided it couldnât hurt. however, as she stepped closer and focused her gaze on the girl that looked bored out of her mind. âcurrently my only question is whether youâre really alive over there or not,â she teased, full lips tugging into a smirk before she attempted to regain her composure. âmy follow up question is if youâd like some company. you look like youâre about ready to fall asleep.â
A small chuckle escaped Lucyâs lips at the customerâs words, her head lifting at her follow up question. While her mother was being restrictive, she never said she couldnât spend time with people while tending to the show. âFirst of all, I am alive, just dreading the next six hours of being here,â she closed her book. âAnd second, if you donât mind, Iâd love some company.â She recognized the red head but didnât know her name, so she decided to introduce herself. âIâm Lucy.âÂ
At her words, Cade couldnât help but chuckle a little, even though it was a rather sarcastic one. âOh, trust me! I can hate a lot of things!â, he stated, raising his eyebrows. Something that clearly wasnât an exaggeration and she probably knew that by now as well. Even though for some reason she still hadnât given up trying to change that. And he still wasnât entirely sure what to think about that. He wasnât used to someone sticking around and not giving up on him. At least until she had eventually left as well of course.. He had tried to be mad at her for that and on some days it had even worked but when she stood in front of him, he just couldnât bring himself to do it anymore. âWhatâs all of this supposed to be anyway..? Walking through a corn maze like six year olds⌠come on!â
âOkay, fine, you can but that doesnât mean you should,â Lucy corrected herself, smiling when he chuckled. She liked to think of herself as one of the few people that Cade could pull down his facade with, and whenever she got a laugh out of him she was reminded that it was true. She licked her lips and rolled her eyes at his next statement, adjusting the basket on her arm. âItâs tradition, Cade. And corn mazes are fun, mind you.â
Zaya walked in the broom booth and raised an eyebrow at Lucy . â You sound so excited to be here and to be of service .â She replied amusingly . â Iâm just here to pick up an order . Just doing a favor .â She chuckled as she shook her head at the blonde .Â
âWhat can I say? Iâm charming,â Lucy closed her book, a small smirk on her face at Zayaâs entrance. She stood, heading to the back room where the orderâs sat. âWhatâs the name on the order?â she called back to the other from the back room.
No doubt Riordan looked like-what was the mortal saying? A fish out of water? He had to admit to a certain level of unfamiliarity when it came to this sort of thing, but-well-he had a reason for coming to this store. A goal, and he wasnât going to leave until heâd accomplished it. His gaze turned to the employee at the store, the corner of his mouth twitching up into a smirk. They clearly looked like theyâd rather be anywhere else. âUhhâŚI actually could use some help. Trying to get a gift for a witchy friend of mine and I donât know the first thing about, well, any of this.â A pause. âHope Iâm not intruding too much.â
When it was clear the man needed help, Lucy marked the page in her book and closed it, pushing up off her chair and walking over to the man in question. âItâs what Iâm here for, isnât it?â she offered him a small smile, listening to his words. âWell, a witches broom is something super personal--do they already have one? Or are you looking to get them some kind of accessories?â

Witch shops werenât foreign to Killian, and while he didnât exactly have any business being in one, there was no reason he couldnât be in one.  âDonât you look just thrilled to be here?â He commented dryly, letting his gaze move aroudn the shop.  âI do, actually - I feel like in all my years on this Earth, Iâve never actually seen a witch riding on a broomstick.â
Lucy looked up at the manâs statement, her head tilting. He wasnât exactly asking her a question, but she knew exactly what he was trying to say. âWitches arenât circus clowns, you know what right?â she asked, an unusually annoyed look on the blondeâs face. âWe donât simply exist for the entertainment of other creatures.â
[ PHILLIPA SOO, SEVENTY-ONE, SHE/HER/HERS ] - Have you seen AMELIA BARTLET lately? From what Iâve heard, theyâre a CISFEMALE GHOST. People around town have said that theyâre TRUTHFUL, STYLISH AND TRUSTWORTHY but also JADED, SARCASTIC AND PATRONIZING. Rumor has it, theyâre AGAINST rebuilding the glamour around Halloweentown.Â
ayo its me paige again with another character! amelia is my baby, i love pippa with all my heart, and im hype for another character! so hereâs what you need to know about amy:
amelia is a baby boomer, though she would never admit that
born following the end of world war II in california, she was raised as an only child
her parents never told her that she had an older sister, one who had disappeared without a trace one night
growing up in the shadow of WWII, there was still much prejudice against asian families
but her parents did what they could to give amelia a good life
they bought a house in the suburbs, sent her to a good school, and worked their asses off to give amelia the life she so desired
when she graduated high school, amelia attended pitzer college, and during her junior year the school became co-educational
there, amelia studied social sciences, particularly anthropology. she became involved in the anti-war movement, the civil rights movement, and the womens movement
after graduating, amelia moved back to san francisco because her parents had fallen ill
after a few short months they both passed, within a day of each other, and amelia felt like her whole world was crashing down
in cleaning out her parents house, however, she found old pictures of her parents and some little girl
this intrigued amelia, and after lots of digging, she discovered roxanne was her older sister
amelia sold her parents house, and without a final thought, she bought a train ticket to washington dc
she wanted to join the fight, to fight for womenâs rights and make an impact on the world
she wanted to make her parents proud too, but she knew that would come with time
in dc, amelia met and married william bartlet, who was also working for the womenâs liberation movement
he was a professor at georgetown, where she was receiving her masters in social sciences
while working for the womenâs movement, amelia also became the first female professor at georgetown
one cold night in 1978, amelia was walking home from a meeting with some student activists when a group of men approached her just a block from her home
they began to harass her, pointing out her pin and her papers and teasing her and the womenâs movement
being the feisty woman she was, amelia snapped back, and this caused the men to get angry
they grabbed her and pulled her into the alley just a block from her home an they assaulted her, leaving her for dead in the alley
when she woke up, her pain was gone, but she realized that she was looking down at her lifeless body
she saw william approach her body and cry, which caused Amelia herself to cry (something she never did)
realizing she was dead took⌠a lot out of her
amelia didnât know what to do, or to think, but she knew she couldnât continue to watch the love of her life sob over her body.Â
unsure what to do or think, she went home. to california
since that night, amelia has wandered the world in limbo, unsure how to pass on and not even sure she wants to
occasionally she would check on william, though not so much since he remarried. she also tried to search for her sister, but there was no trace of her since the night she disappeared
a few months ago, however, she discovered the existence of halloweentown, and decided to make her way there
the cute little town was exactly what amelia needed
she got a job as a professor of mortal history at the university and has been happily living there, having no clue that her long lost sister is living just a few miles away
so thatâs amelia! my sweet ghost baby! pls come love her : )
âAlways the best for some of my favourite customersâ Alice returns with a bright smile, her brown hues sparkling âand I added your favourites this time.â She considers the younger witch with a quirk in her brow, wondering whether to push for more considering that the aura that Alice was picking up on wasnât quite the colour of bored that Lucy portrayed to her. But then, it wasnât Aliceâs business to pry, but she would continue to offer support. In this case, she thought maybe changing the topic may help ease the younger girlâs darker-coloured emotions. âDo you at least have plans to go to the festival with your friends?âÂ
Lucy smiled as she moved the flowers behind the counter, knowing the exact vase her mother wanted her to put them in was in the back room. She turned back to Alice, tilting her head. âProbably later, but Maggie might be working so itâll probably just be Odette and I,â Lucy shrugged, though she had a small fear her mother would lock her in the house tonight. But she had been a bit more lenient as of late.
It certainly wasnât the first time that Cade wished that he knew what was going on inside her head. She didnât even seem to notice that he was even more distant than before. Or maybe it simply wasnât as convincing as he had hoped⌠but then again he had been determined to not even think about stuff like this anymore all the time. The only problem was that, now that she was standing right in front of him again, he simply couldnât stop it. Focus Dawson!, he tried to tell himself but the way she pulled him into a quick hug didnât really make it any easier. It was only when she mentioned the festival, that he couldnât help but scoff as he shook his head. âWonderful isnât exactly the term Iâd useâŚâ, he stated, raising his eyebrows.
Lucy rolled her eyes playfully at Cade. She had never been much of a confrontational person, so when she felt things were weird between herself and a friend, she did her best to just... fix it. Act like things were normal and fix things like that. Tilting her head to the side, she adjusted her basket on her arm and shaking her head. âOh come on Cade, you canât hate the Harvest Fest,â she teased him, licking her lips.
Cade certainly wasnât the biggest fan of festivals like this one. Of course, it brought lots of tourists to town and that was good for his own club as well but that was about it. He certainly didnât need some corn maze or anything like that. He wasnât five years old anymore after all⌠And still he had stopped on his way back home, taking a look at everything around him with his usual scowl on his face. He was just about to head home, when somebody bumped right into him. âCanât you watch outâŚ?!â, he snapped, turning around only to realise just who was standing in front of him. A little of his anger fading, his face only lit up a little as he looked down at her though. After she had simply left town and returned again a little while later, he still wasnât entirely sure how to act around her. âLucyâŚâ, was all he finally got out after swallowing, forcing himself to look as self confident and composed as always even though he could feel his heart starting to beat a little faster at the sight of her smile.
She had the smallest feeling that he had been avoiding her, but Lucy was way too in her own head to accept that as fact. It mustâve been something else, that he was busy or that his life had moved on while she was gone and he had to adjust. They had been a bit of an odd pairing as friends, but the blonde wouldnât have it any other way. Grabbing the last apple, the girl stood and pulled him into a quick one armed hug, pulling back and brushing some messy blonde hair out of her face. âIsnât it wonderful?â she spoke of the festival, smiling still.Â

Prudence had certainly admired Lucyâs decision â not that she could actually admit it. Having existed as a lone witch for as many years as she had, she found herself wondering why she had given into the pressure to join a coven. She rarely found herself trying her hardest not to spend time around others anyway. âLucy, itâs just me love.â The older witch sighed, looking around the store before turning back to the younger blonde. It came as a surprise that the young woman was forced to sit here while the fair continued to move outside. âThey have you in here during the festival?â
Hearing Prudenceâs voice, Lucy closed her book and looked up, smiling. It was always nice to see a familiar face--then again, every face was familiar when you grew up in Halloweentown. Shrugging, she brushed some hair out of her face. âMomâs out of town for the day getting some last minute stuff for our booth at the festival, so someone has to man the shop,â she girl shrugged. âBetween us though, I might close up early to take a peek outside.â
Kaleb walked into the store, amazed by it all. Not everyone in town knew he was a human, he kind of wanted to keep it that way. âHello.â He replied, glancing around. âSorry. Iâm a little new in town⌠Iâve never been here.â Kaleb admitted. âIâve also⌠never had⌠my own⌠broom.â Kaleb lied. He chuckled nervously. âThink you could help me out?â He asked.Â
Hearing the stammering over words, Lucyâs features softened and she looked up. She had seen him around sure, but did not know the man standing in front of her. When he asked for help, she nodded with a smile, putting a book mark in her book and closing it. âSure,â she nodded. âIâm kind of a broom expert--my familyâs been making and selling brooms for generations.â She went off on a tangent. âTake a look, see what you like.â
