Ahmet’s voice was low but brooked no argument. "The legs can wait, Hani. I'm talking about my feet. Go directly to the feet."

Hani stiffened. His tentative contact was over. This was a command. He took a short breath, his gaze fixing intensely on the large, calloused feet dominating the ottoman. With a visible swallowed lump, Hani shifted his grip, moving both of his hands from the lower ankle.

He slid one hand under Ahmet's right heel, cupping it firmly, and brought the other hand over the top. Hani's hands, which were usually reserved for heavy tools, now found themselves enveloping the worn, rough skin of his boss's foot. He looked up at Ahmet for a split second, meeting the older man’s calm, expectant gaze, before looking back down.
