meh.

The funny thing  is that bands like Knuckle Puck, TSSF,  and Neck Deep were there before my most intense relationship all those months ago, and they’re still here afterwards. Never let your ex tear your favorite music away from you. It’s why I celebrate it–it’s a source of empowerment and remembrance. It’s music that only makes sense to me, i’ve found, so there isn’t much point in sharing it. With that in mind, I’ve heard “Knuckle Puck - Fences” before, but it didn’t stick. Until now. It must have been the right time in my life where I didn’t just hear, but I listened. The lyrics just spoke to me like they never did before–because before, I was still hung up on all those memories. It’s not bad to remember who you fell in love with, or the time you spent with them, because that isn’t the person who abandoned you. Find strength in that. Lick your wounds. ♫ I don’t think about you anymore ‘Cause memories of you are like a treadmill I keep running, but I’m not getting anywhere.
