Jonny watched Jac silently from the door of the pink hospital room. She was smiling at their little girl as she slept, though Jac glowed brighter than she had for nine months she looked sad. Jonny’s eyes welled up with tears as he approached her rolling up his sleeves. He placed his hands on her shoulders making her jump slightly as he began to rub them, feeling Jac relax into him he moved slightly closer. “Sorry I took so long” He whispered as his glassy eyes reflected the dim lights if the room “I was avoiding Bonnie” At this he felt Jac smirk slightly, she has been glad when Bonnie had told him to choose between them just as her waters broke; Jonny had chosen Jac, taking her to Mr T and then the maternity room, holding her hand as each contraction passed. They hadn’t spoken properly since the birth but each had realised that their love was mutual and both had seemed to silently acknowledge the fact that those feelings had never gone away. The two both stared at their daughter as she snuggled closer to her blanket as she slept. They realised that the road ahead was long and hard but no matter what, they would always cherish that moment there and then in the tiny maternity room, just the three of them.
