My favorite bar in #jacksonheights is set to be torn down sometime in 2017. Soooo sad. #terraza7 is such a unique place culturally and architecturally with it's split level space where various genre Latin bands perform on a stage that is above your head suspended from the ceiling by cables. The vibe there is always a great blend of festive but relaxed. It has been a staple in the neighborhood since 2002. Another perk of my neighborhood… being able to buy a big bag of cut mango with salt, lime juice and chili powder for $2.50. This one was from a fruit / juice cart on 37th Ave and 82nd St.

Happy to discover a new favorite food truck in Jackson Heights! It’s called Tia Julia’s and it parks at Roosevelt Ave & Benham (which is equivalent to 91st St.) Sooo good!
