The Journey of Life...

Ugh. How it evades me.

My mentor said that if you do not know your purpose you will not be successful.

He says success equals being fully aligned with your purpose and when you don’t know your purpose, you don’t know who you are.

Purpose is such a big word to me. It implies so much. When I think hard and think “what is my purpose” I hit a wall. I keep thinking “isn’t it God who gives one purpose so how do I come up with my own?”

This morning I picked up The Purpose Driven Life from my shelf and started reading it again for the third or fourth time. 

The first line reads “it’s not about you.” 

I knew it!

Now what? What does that mean for how I live and how I approach the world?

Perhaps purpose equals allowing God to glorify Himself with this life that doesn’t belong to me.
