Hat’s Gone...

Anyway had to take a break from comic pages so took the time to practice painting again.

Ok first half of Chapter 4 of “Growing Up”. Had to reupload the first 2 pages on here because the previous post post I had with it, I removed the 3rd page because I wanted to redo it.

I know its been a long while and I’m really sorry for the long wait, I just recently got up to drawing again, was feeling practically dead like everyone this year thanks to the pandemic. The next half should hopefully come soon or in another month. I’ve been familiarizing myself with Clipstudio Paint and its 3d models which really helps speed up the process. Special thanks to my gf @gemmin8 for doing the flats yet again, I’m still amazed you enjoy flatting but grateful nonetheless.

Also I feel like I should say that as much as I still love Lapidot and will be continuing this comic I’ll still be doing fanart of other fandoms I love as well. Especially from MP100, Sense8, and Pokemon to name a few. Maybe some of mine and my friend’s Dnd characters to.

Yep I’m still alive haha... ugh T____T Sorry guys the pandemic hit pretty hard and it took awhile for me to even do anything remotely creative. It just felt like all my drive got sucked out these last few months. Now that I feel a little more up to it I’m trying to get the rest of the pages down to post em soon. Here’s a WIP.

Painting suits has been one of the few things that make me calm and happy no a days.

As my friend has said “putting your favorite characters heads on studies is self care” hahaha. I’m just really trying to improve my painting at the momment.

I followed a tutorial by Kawacy and full credit to them since the jacket and pose are really from them, I just placed Peridot’s head on it to give me an extra boost in inspiration.

I remember watching the series when a friend introduced it to me when I was still in college, but it wasn't until 2016 that I really started getting into the fandom thanks to Lapidot haha.

I can't ever fully express what this show has done for me. Among many things it got me back into art when I had stopped it for a few years before that, I thought I had given it up for good, it was a painful decision. Then this show came at me again out of nowhere and ignited a spark that I honestly thought had died.

Steven Universe got me through some tough and arguably the hardest time in my life, it gave me a lot of hope and made me believe things could get better no matter how bad life could sometimes get, it was also thanks to this that I met some really amazing people and even met the love of my life.

This took me forever to come up with mostly coz the color pallet chosen was like the last one not really Peridot’s usual color pallet.
