Let us remember that Kallus' story SHOULD NOT convey that "sometimes good people do bad things" AND RATHER THAT "There is no such thing as an inherently good or bad person. You are only ever as much as your actions, and no matter how bad your actions have been in the past, you always have the CHOICE to do better moving forward. You can always CHOOSE a better future for yourself and for others, so long as you're willing to put in the work needed to make that happen"

Sometimes the redemption is earned from acknowledging that they were fully in the wrong and awful in ways that are inexcusable and them still choosing to move forward doing the right thing regardless of the promise of ever being forgiven for the wrong they knowingly committed. Sometimes doing it while fully believing that forgiveness will never come and never asking for it is the true strength behind being a better person.

A not-so-well written morally ambiguous male character exists: Gets a complete fanon rewrite that makes him the blorbo of half the fandom, can do no wrong (canon says otherwise), The Most Perfect Man to ever exist.

After joining the rebellion, Kallus’ life changed for the better. On Yavin, he found a cause truly worth fighting for, people he cared about, and a position inside Intelligence where his skills were put to good use. Things were good. He had no desire to change any of it.

Strange things began to happen around Kallus. Things that didn’t make sense. Things that shouldn’t be possible.
