I really loved boarding the ending scenes for this episode, it was a nice moment of reflection after so much heaviness.

it was fun to board the tender little moment with huntress and finn, and how differently they express their love.

my hourlies!! had a fun day hiking with friends, lookin at snails, drinking matcha, and talking about frozen 2

there was an additional scene of Simon fending off an ice bull when he goes to see ice thing but it got cut for time. same for another scene of Cake walking with the PA in the studio. scenes often get cut for time or pacing, but it's all part of the process! I still try to share the drawings if they came out cute : )

some select board panels from episode 2 of Fionna & Cake! I love to draw Cake being cute, and it was a treat to draw the wiz kids again after working on Distant Lands!

I actually based them off photos I’ve taken on trips. the first one is based on a photo from Olympic National Park in Washington, and a couple others are photos from a beach in San Diego. backgrounds are not usually my forte, so I like to take a lot of photos to find inspiration.

hmm i dunno! maybe for small things...like I'd like to think Fionna gets a sword tattoo one day, or maybe a Cake that swirls along her leg as opposed to Finn's chest tattoo
